These are 18x8.5 wheels that come on the RS4 I think and maybe some other models. I think USP wheels are 8" wide. I have been searching EVERYWHERE, does anyone know where I can buy these from?
genuinevwaudiparts.com lists them for $542.00 each.
I know the easy solution is to buy replica off ebay. But I would prefer to stick with the real thing but cannot seem to find them anywhere.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I forgot to reply about the USP wheels I had, but yeah they’ve already been sold.
I have a local shop that quoted me 250.00 a piece for OEM USP wheels on my insurance quote. I’ll ask and see if they can have em drop shipped to you. Where do you live?
No worries dude, I figured you had sold them but I knew it couldn’t hurt to ask. I am pretty sure these are not USP, from what I read they are the exact same except they are 8.5" wide where as USP are 8"
Part #

8d0 601 165 k 1h7 (center cap)
USP wheels

Paart numbers for the win. USP rims are good stuff.
huh?
I am curious, why does my genuine Audi MAF sensor have a Hitachi brand made in Japan stamped on it? It also has the VW Audi logos and came in a authentic looking Audi box. The one I pulled from my car had the same Stamp on it. I’m just curious why it wasn’t made in Germany. Hopefully my CEL goes off and if not then its back for some more diagnostics.
But in the mean time I added on my plate frame today finally, I think it looks much better. The chrome really sets off the trunk more. I’m thinking of removing my Badges on the rear but we’ll see after my spoiler comes which hopefully is this week. Good news is I’m dropping her off for paint again Monday and at the same time having my crossrod mailed to JHM for upgrade so that I can finally have my shifter fixed properly

That’s because they make the oem one for audi, it left the factory with it
re: Hitachi, I think they made the starters for some of the B6/7 cars. or alternators.
I believe they’re super duper rare, like B7 RS4 wheels, especially over here since there weren’t even any B5 Rs4s here to begin with. Any set has been ordered at crazy high cost, or has been imported at crazy high cost.
They’re light as hell according to mechdb and wheelweights.net…something like 20lbs each, which is pretty awesome for 18x8.5 OEM wheels. Especially with that many spokes.
Thanks guys I apprecaite the help, sorry for the delayed reply my laptop had a fight with water, and of course it lost.
Good news is I just discovered the RS6 wheel uses a 18x8.5 et30 that is the 9 spoke as well, I assume its the same weight so I’m going to see if that will fit without rolling the fenders cuz it seems like it would be a really tight fit.
Anyone happen to know a part number on these wheels?
Update:
I found the RS6 wheel part number
4B3 601 025 R 1H7
genuinevwaudiparts lists them at $564.20 per wheel… the search begins
I found the RS6 wheels but after much research and debate I’m back to square one cuz i’m not sure if et30’s are going to give me the look I want. So I’m open to any ideas right now. Please fire away.
Update:
After searching for who knows how long and changing my mind a million times I finally found a picture of a B6 avant running ET30, please let me know what you guys think

Depending on your ride height that stance is money. Are you worried about the stance of the wheels or what? I see not a damn thing wrong with ^^^that set up
My apologies I should have been more specific with my concerns,
1- I’m worried with an 02’ being lowest year and unable to adjust it that I might rub.
2- RS6 rims are 30lbs each which is more than what I’m running now with stock 17" which will work against my car down the road when i get this modded because i want a sleeper.
3- If the wheel sticks out too much then I am might have to roll the fenders a little and thats a unknown variable of how it will affect the look, because obviously there are some appearance changes I won’t be able to hide (exhaust, brakes, and anything else I cant think of) and I really am trying to keep as much stock appearance as possible while looking the best it can.
02 is lower but I believe it is a slight difference. You should have no problem running a lower et wheel with sport suspension. I ran an 18x8 wheel, et 45 with 20mm spacers and it sat pretty good with no rubbing. I had 03 sport and thats a total of 25 et. You should be fine.
Those do weigh a little bit, Im sure my Q5 wheels weigh around there too, just sucks because they are so sexy.
So you shouldnt have to roll the fenders at all. Im running h&r sports with an et of 27 and I still have room to play with as im going to push them out more soon
After staring at this white avant forever I realized what the problem is, the wheels are too small…
So I searched some more and found this…

I know this on a S4 but the stance he has is flawless IMO.
225/35/19 on 19"x9" et29

If I run this exact same specifications on my B6, will I have the same stance? or is there other factors I’m unaware of?
It depends on you ride height. He def looks lowered a bit. If you got the exact same ET and he is lower than you, your wheels will stick out more. When you lower the car the arms move upward and bring the wheels closer inset to the car. A et 30 wheel should be fine, if need be you can add a small spacer to get perfect flushness. But you should be sitting pretty damn clean
Ahhh wheel choice, the hardest thing to do…
Good luck with either of your choices
Thanks Lout, your right about that wheels are probably the hardest choice of anything.
Update-
Dropped car back off at the transmission shop and pulled the cross rod. Sent it off to JHM this after noon for upgrade.
http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z457/A4QuattroV6/CrossRod.jpg
Then, back to the body shop for what I hope to be the last of the body work. Right now she is up for paint on the roof and the rear passenger door. And I really hope this time I get my car back with the USP spoiler on. It really looks funny without it.
After I pick her up from the body shop hopefully by friday its back to the transmission shop for the install of my upgraded cross rod, and the JHM “trio kit”, which includes JHM short shifter, upgraded solid linkage, delrin bushing, and 3 chocies for reverse spring stiffness.
http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z457/A4QuattroV6/JHMshifterkit.jpg
(REVIEW TO COME)
Recieved my cross rod back last week, upgraded with a spherical rod end courtesy JHM. Unfortunatly shes still in the body shop awaiting paint and spoiler. I’ll have her back monday or tuesday WITHOUT a spoiler cuz I accidently gave them the part number for the S4 spoiler, not the USP. So it looks like I will have my car back again with a ugly ass But on the bright side my shifter is fixed and I can’t wait to see how the transmission feels with the upgrades to my linkage and shifter.
