2002 3.0 6MT Build

Thanks Meistah I’ll look into what servicing entails, I was thinking maybe just pick up a used injector for now and either clean my MAF or buy a new one from geniunevwaudiparts.com for $160

Cleaned MAF Sensor, problem solved

UPDATE:

Problem was not solved. CEL went off on its own, then came back. So I replaced #5 injector as the shop suggusted, cleared codes. CEL is back again. So looks like its time for a new MAF.

I checked the JHM web site but they do not stock these for the 3.0

WWW.EUROPAPARTS.COM HAS IT FOR $145

Thanks Android, Thats a good buy on those injectors. Unfortunatly the MAF from EUROPA is made by Hitachi and I am replacing mine with OEM because the one that has failed in my car is made by Hitachi so I was trying to steer clear of that, from my experience German cars do not like Japanese parts.

Call or email them. They can get it. I just ordered a random fuel line for my car that wasnt on there site and ordered it same day, it was special order and was on my car in a few days.

These are 18x8.5 wheels that come on the RS4 I think and maybe some other models. I think USP wheels are 8" wide. I have been searching EVERYWHERE, does anyone know where I can buy these from?

genuinevwaudiparts.com lists them for $542.00 each.

I know the easy solution is to buy replica off ebay. But I would prefer to stick with the real thing but cannot seem to find them anywhere.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I forgot to reply about the USP wheels I had, but yeah they’ve already been sold.

I have a local shop that quoted me 250.00 a piece for OEM USP wheels on my insurance quote. I’ll ask and see if they can have em drop shipped to you. Where do you live?

No worries dude, I figured you had sold them but I knew it couldn’t hurt to ask. I am pretty sure these are not USP, from what I read they are the exact same except they are 8.5" wide where as USP are 8"

Part #
8d0 601 025 t 1h7
8d0 601 165 k 1h7 (center cap)

USP wheels
4d0 601 025 (ah or ab) 1h7 (et43)
8n0 601 025 s 1h7(et33)

Paart numbers for the win. USP rims are good stuff.

huh?

I am curious, why does my genuine Audi MAF sensor have a Hitachi brand made in Japan stamped on it? It also has the VW Audi logos and came in a authentic looking Audi box. The one I pulled from my car had the same Stamp on it. I’m just curious why it wasn’t made in Germany. Hopefully my CEL goes off and if not then its back for some more diagnostics.

But in the mean time I added on my plate frame today finally, I think it looks much better. The chrome really sets off the trunk more. I’m thinking of removing my Badges on the rear but we’ll see after my spoiler comes which hopefully is this week. Good news is I’m dropping her off for paint again Monday and at the same time having my crossrod mailed to JHM for upgrade so that I can finally have my shifter fixed properly

That’s because they make the oem one for audi, it left the factory with it

re: Hitachi, I think they made the starters for some of the B6/7 cars. or alternators.

I believe they’re super duper rare, like B7 RS4 wheels, especially over here since there weren’t even any B5 Rs4s here to begin with. Any set has been ordered at crazy high cost, or has been imported at crazy high cost.

They’re light as hell according to mechdb and wheelweights.net…something like 20lbs each, which is pretty awesome for 18x8.5 OEM wheels. Especially with that many spokes.

Thanks guys I apprecaite the help, sorry for the delayed reply my laptop had a fight with water, and of course it lost.

Good news is I just discovered the RS6 wheel uses a 18x8.5 et30 that is the 9 spoke as well, I assume its the same weight so I’m going to see if that will fit without rolling the fenders cuz it seems like it would be a really tight fit.
Anyone happen to know a part number on these wheels?

Update:

I found the RS6 wheel part number

4B3 601 025 R 1H7

genuinevwaudiparts lists them at $564.20 per wheel… the search begins

I found the RS6 wheels but after much research and debate I’m back to square one cuz i’m not sure if et30’s are going to give me the look I want. So I’m open to any ideas right now. Please fire away.

Update:
After searching for who knows how long and changing my mind a million times I finally found a picture of a B6 avant running ET30, please let me know what you guys think

http://i1190.photobucket.com/albums/z457/A4QuattroV6/B6AvantEt30.jpg

Depending on your ride height that stance is money. Are you worried about the stance of the wheels or what? I see not a damn thing wrong with ^^^that set up

My apologies I should have been more specific with my concerns,

1- I’m worried with an 02’ being lowest year and unable to adjust it that I might rub.

2- RS6 rims are 30lbs each which is more than what I’m running now with stock 17" which will work against my car down the road when i get this modded because i want a sleeper.

3- If the wheel sticks out too much then I am might have to roll the fenders a little and thats a unknown variable of how it will affect the look, because obviously there are some appearance changes I won’t be able to hide (exhaust, brakes, and anything else I cant think of) and I really am trying to keep as much stock appearance as possible while looking the best it can.

02 is lower but I believe it is a slight difference. You should have no problem running a lower et wheel with sport suspension. I ran an 18x8 wheel, et 45 with 20mm spacers and it sat pretty good with no rubbing. I had 03 sport and thats a total of 25 et. You should be fine.

Those do weigh a little bit, Im sure my Q5 wheels weigh around there too, just sucks because they are so sexy.

So you shouldnt have to roll the fenders at all. Im running h&r sports with an et of 27 and I still have room to play with as im going to push them out more soon
