I wasn’t the only car testing the intake especially since my car has been undriveable for about a month now. I just sent David a text message to either post the flow charts on Audizine or send them to me to post here.
This is just the stage 1 and David is now testing a stage 2 intake. I should get my car back from Eurocode today or tomorrow with my brand new shiny clutch. Hopefully they installed the prototype stage 2 intake on my car without telling.(David installs lots of parts on my car without telling me)
As for the dragstrip, well I do have a race clutch now. Excuses for not hitting the dragstrip are dwindling. Besides it being far, I’m confident if I had gone to the dragstrip with my first generation fx400 my car would have broken down and been undriveable 400 miles from home.
Haha I know but it’s not like he keeps it a secret. I take my car in to get work done and he calls me and says," your car is ready, BTW I installed this this and this on it, your car needed it" its not a bad thing. I get parts before they are released.
Paper, So now I have to ask since you said it… What else is on the car that hasn’t been disclosed, since you may not even be aware of it?
Also, I’ll assume you never logged the air mass readings pre and post intake since you didn’t mention it… That’s fine but until that is done or these flow bench #'s posted it’s just marketing “hot air”, no pun intended… lol
Totally understood why you wouldn’t go to the strip given the clutch issues as I wouldn’t want to be stranded… Expensive tow and would make for a long day…
He sometimes doesn’t tell me while he’s putting it on. But I always know by the time I pick up my car. Either he tells me on the phone when he calls me or he tells me at the shop when I’m picking up my car.
Clutch should already be broken in. Also I never contradicted myself in this thread. You guys just take everything very literally and hang off every word. I explained it in the post above.
Sorry - I still think that’s fucked up. Obviously if you’re taking the car in for service, you don’t need to be apprised of every part that needs to be installed for the repair. But in terms of mods? That’s quite different. I think it’s shady that EC would test their prototype performance mods on your car WITHOUT EVEN ASKING YOUR PERMISSION.
not at all, they know I want every part available and always love having shit that is not out yet. If I disagreed in any way they wouldn’t do it, but they know me well. Hell I used to work their and I did the same thing with every Audi I’ve owned. Every single Neuspeed part for the Frontwheel drive TSI platform was developed on my car. Also before I worked their I was a customer for years. I have been taking my Audi’s to them since 2004.
Also David has a B8.5 S4 and he ahd a B8 S4 before that, Greg from Eurocode has a B8.5 S5 they test all the parts on their own cars, but they know how I drive and if anyone is going to break or destroy a performance part it is going to be me. Hell I went offroading and jumped a couple of curbs with my car. When I towed my car to Eurocode to get my clutch worked on, I got a tet from the mechanic right away telling me my car isnt a fucking offroad truck. He sent me a pic and the bottom of my car was fucked up to hell. Thats just how I roll
^^ gotcha. that certainly wouldn’t be an arrangement i’d be willing to make, though, unless i had a contract in writing that EC would be responsible for all repairs to my car - sort of like an oem warranty.
no spacers no nitrous or water meth. None never has been. But I am trying to convince my buddy with the notrous to go to the track with me to set some B8 S4 records.
ya everyone is different. I am very laid back and lax and I drive my car like it belongs to my enemy, so like I said. If a part has the potential to break I will break it. If I cant break it 99.9 percent of people out their cant break it either.
