I can vouch for them using customer vehicles for personal use. I’ve seen it NUMEROUS times. Time and time again actually. Before I knew that was Dave’s A3, I saw it parked in front of the former shop manager’s home multiple times. I guess you have to check, double-check and then check again to make sure you don’t blow up a 2nd or 3rd engine. Oh wait. :o
Did you do anything about it?
^^^not sure if serious…maybe you are.
start with the rest of this thread you’re on page 16 of…and then this other one here http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=2827.75;topicseen

I was totally serious. I did read the whole thread. I mean, isn’t it illegal in the states?
Had I left my car in a shop to do some work only to discover it’s been driven without my authorization I’d’ve involved the authorities.
18bora: INA:At the same time the moderator (Stu) was a great asset to the community.
The other thing; so you really hate the guy now and you want to see him fired and all, but why post the unclassy pic of him and his wife? While I don’t really know Arin much and never met his wife, what does she have to do with any of this? <<< this is what really got me going.
Sam I agree,
His wife had nothing to do with it and should be left out the picture completely. I don’t hate Arin as hate is a very strong word. We spoke up until last week after which I was given the missing the information I wanted for over 9 months. When I received this information it proved that both myself , family members & my company were personally attacked. I have a pretty thick skin but once you involve family then expect professionalism to go out the door. That being said , I have decided I will NOT be making my own thread but will merely contribute to this one since it is being watched by all.

Which is exactly what Arin was blackmailing that other unnamed tuner with in that other thread.
What made it pretty personal for me was getting word after everything happened with my vehicle that they knew that it was poorly assembled and that there were issues with it. The people involved openly admitted it to others who then relayed the information to me. The personal jabs from APR employees regarding being happy that my car was totaled were also disappointing to hear. Even when my car was there and being worked on, it was very obvious that things weren’t being handled in a professional manner. Other customer cars were treated in a similar way. Heck, some customers were even contacted by APR employees asking if it was ok to take parts off their cars (WTF).

^^ granted this is one of the tamer responses to seeing pictures of my car on Facebook.
Literally mind blown. Yikes
long term testing to iron out niggles?
I’d be beyond furious had that happened to me.
Did you do anything about it?
I sent an email. Nothing happened. I was told that only one person would be allowed to drive it, however I was getting reports from other APR employees + non-APR personnel in the area that my car was also being driven by others. Not really anything I could do about it when I was close to 2500miles away.
Halvie got it pretty bad too. They put a hole in his new Recaro seats and instead of telling him and having the cover replaced, they sent the seat out to get a patch job and never notified him of the damage. Now he has a spot of leather where the grain and color is slightly off and wrinkling.

sounds like you didn’t read the thread or the other one I linked where he singlehandedly murdered APR’s reputation in one month.
So yes, he is pissed. And yes, he did something about it.
THe Mountain biking thing sounds like the tip of the iceberg with respect to his dissatisfaction with APR. There’s a long story there.

WOW! anyone involved in something like that should AUTOMATICALLY be let go.
APR no longer has any supercharger kits on their website.
guess when they’ve run into the problems they have, it’s understandable

Oh dear.

I wonder if GRD will get their car back with or without a supercharger. It was sent there with the older 1320 kit.
great question
I think you could have just asked ‘I wonder if GRD will get their car back’ and it would also have been a good question

Good point. It doesn’t take over a month to swap in a new motor and other stuff.

Just towards the end of the page. Nothing more than what I’ve said here.
So now that the S/C is dead does anyone here have any Intel if/when APR will release a B8 DSG tune???
