APR has been sold to Mangrove Equity

yeah…there is an oem steel piece that goes for cheap on ebay plus those bracket bushings for less than that part.

The mk6 is a plastic piece, but might as well get the oem metal piece and bushings and have the rest of the money for other things lol.

It is not really a story. A story would mean that some of the acts are fictitious in nature.
This however is an account of events that have transpired over the course of the last few years with respect to my dealings with APR LLC. / APR CANADA / APR UK.
Unfortunately as of 2.52 PM EST , both APR LLC. and my company were unable to reach an amicable solution with Kyle eluding to untruths being said even though the evidence (i.e. god damn facts) were presented.

This is sad and unfortunate but it was bound to be the end result based on similar stories and phone calls with other current APR dealers (who prefer to be annoymous).

I know APR staff is reading this thread and all I have to say for now is bravo. Job well done on the smoke and mirrors.

This actually sounds quite bad for you, no? Sorry to hear

No
Most forum members don’t realize how mentally exhausting it is dealing with forum drama. If dealing with new management is any indication of who is running the company then I am going to happily bow out of this race and simply have our lawyer deal with this.
The APR ship for us has sailed.

This is exactly what I’ve decided to do as well. It’s obvious that the “new” APR is no different than the “old” APR and while that’s extremely sad, I can’t say I’m surprised when they have kept the majority of the toxic staff they have on board.

I have sold off a good portion of my APR products and will continue doing so until they are all replaced with alternative brands and solutions.

It’s interesting that FT claims GRDTuning’s car is not for sale.

[quote=Flying Tomatoes]I spoke with one of the guys at APR and the VIN on this car matches the one that they have down at HQ. It is the car that was used for their testing , it’s not for sale and does not have these wheels or the old blower on it. So this listing is either old, or a scam of some sort.

#quicksomebodygettheVIN!

Now if only APR would put a motor in GRD’s car that doesn’t blow up and give it back to them so it can be sold…

GRD’s APR SC’d 4.2 S5 is also having issues and APR is not receptive to answering their questions / rectifying the issues.

At this point it’s hard to believe FT isn’t being pointed in direction by APR to post or make posts. How does something so random like a car for sale and the vin number just happen to pop up in a conversation? Not only that but who at APR is just sitting around with nothing better to do than talking about cars for sale?

I didn’t know what to think before with the talk about his motor being blown but you’d be hard pressed to believe anything FT has to say at this point.

Sarabi’s customer’s (Eurocode) motor is also blown. It’s at SEMA this week in the Magnuson booth.

Whoops!

So a car with a blown motor is in a booth at SEMA? irony at its best.

This car has a healthy engine.

Can you explain or prove this statement?

Lol. APR sold Eurocode a bad supercharger off the totaled R8. The sc released bits of bearing into the engine = bad times. Magnuson wouldn’t honor the warranty on the SC because it was given to APR for free as the serial# indicated that it was a preproduction kit.

uh oh notarmed

My source says the car is healthy and drove to/on/off the transporter. I am not aware of any other facts.

If it is healthy, why would it need a transporter from LA? Eurocode only brought two cars I believe. The r8 and the gti parked outside. Lol.

It should be noted that notarmed is a eurocode customer…and might be getting information from EuroCode…who might be protecting APR, so who the hell knows what is true or not.

I am only providing another first person source to refute Crews claim that the motor is shot, nothing else.

Do you want my friends at SEMA to go video the car running? I have five separate crews, unrelated to APR or Eurocode that can help verify. lol Believe what you will.

It should also be noted that I don’t own a single Eurocode product, but I have purchased and had stuff installed from them in the past.

Eh . . . sure why not? Maybe Sarabi pulled an 11th hour trick and replaced the motor (seems highly unlikely due to the scarcity). Personally I don’t know what kind of damage would occur from pieces of bearing entering the combustion chamber so perhaps the car can be idled and driven on and off a truck. It doesn’t change the fact that the original motor was destroyed due to the supercharger failing after APR decided to sell one of their higher volume distributors an un-warrantyable, damaged supercharger from their totaled R8. ;D Even my sources within APR indicate that it’s a huge bill that MG isn’t paying.

Have someone in your team say hi to Andrew @ Magnuson/DNA . I’m sure he can fill them in on all the details

Dave

you’re a customer if you bought stuff from them…no? just saying for those who may not know that you may be talking to EC directly , and they don’t want to start a forum war with APR. So you may not get the full story.

as for starting the car at Sema, that’s not allowed for one. For two, do you think the Magnusson Superchargers guys want to talk about how the motor is blown on the car at their booth lol?

The fact that’s it’s at the Magnusson booth, makes crews interpretation/story hard to swallow.
