More to the point, I’m still at a loss as to why so many B8 S4 guys have such reactionary hatred for the RS4 or, for that matter, any kind of naturally-aspirated V8. What’s up with that??

Hell, I damn near sold my B8 for the RS5 a few months ago. And if $$$ wasn’t an obstacle, I’d have an IS-F to go along with it.

My example was a scenario that you apparently didn’t get, not a FACT about your car or it’s tune.

I’ll restate the question so maybe you understand…

Answer this, If you have a car that the power is dropping off dramatically past 6500, but your redline is 7000…are you still going to wind your car out to 7k? or will you shift at 6500 and stay in the “bread and butter” of your power band?

are you guys blind? Who’s the one that needs to focus? DO you even read what I write or blindly just type random shit?

I do all of my racing above 5000RPM where my car pulls really hard. But that doesn’t matter because my car isn’t stock and doesnt bleed boost at high RPM’s.

So yes we were talking about my car, or any tuned car for that instance. Then when you get proven wrong you turn around and start flip flopping. Nice job Eurowagr, use dirty tactics to try to win an argument.

No we weren’t talking about YOUR car…it was an example…go fucking read man it’s all in writing. 6300RPM was in reference to the stock B8 S4 on the graph and your argument of the RS4 making 60 more HP!

Your basically trying to say you should redline every car with a tune…especially your car because your a street racing superstar past 5000 RPMs. You didn’t prove shit and I never called you an idiot…fuck your simple man.

You quoted my exact comments above…read them…nothing to do with YOUR car or calling YOU an idiot, but if you redline your car every shift even though power drops well before redline then wear the shoe.

2 fun facts about zebras…

Clochner, I hate the RS4 and the V8 more and more every time it gets brought up in the B8 S4 discussions. I never hated it before I joined AR…

I’m 3 for 3, I beat the RS4 every time I’ve lined up against it at the strip…:-p

Why does every thread in the B8 S4 section turn into a pissing match between the 4.2 and the 3.0T? Who starts making the comparisons in almost every thread? We all know that it’s going to turn into an argument with each side trying to explain why the other side’s facts/opinions/magic are wrong.

I say that the next person to make a comparison between the two platforms in one of these threads gets bitch slapped with a grill cheese sandwich and then has to watch while Richi eats it.

well, since this thread has run its course, I brought up how people can’t look at simple results for what they are on audizine while responding to primetime…how they instead try to spin those results to support their opinion or they call people a hater to deny the simple result. Not surprisingly the most active audizine member turned this thread into a giant VS thread doing exactly what I referred to. Then his partner makes it more ridiculous here.

Just an observation about a pretty interesting set of facts that I noticed when looking something up, and before you know it sensationalism and homerism will drive the weak minded to deem it an attack.

Stage two Apr, dsg, on race gas vs stock rs4. You sure did. I believe that was my slowest run ever actually (excluding mis shifts and quit runs) …I was going through my old times. Not that it matters as my fastest ever would still be miles from the 12.1 or 12.2 your car ran there. Was just interesting. That’s the day, ironically, that an rs4 on pump gas went 12.28 @ 112.45. Further illustrating the point from the earlier page.

very good point saki. i recently drove my first stage 2 apr b8 and even though impressive, a jhm rs4 feels faster. both on pump, both 6 speed…ill take the rs4

dsg is a different story but the more i go on with mine, the more i long for a manual. its a fantastic trans and fast but i feel empty with it. the more i go on with this b8 the more i want an rs4 lol

DSG is retarded. I am genuinely shocked. That’s where I ran across these numbers… I was comparing apples to apples dsg vs manual b8 s4 times. Pump vs pump, race vs race. The difference is astounding.

The manual cars don’t seem to get a ton out of race gas from 0-120 from the numbers we’ve seen. The dsg cars sure do though.
