This is kind of funny, but I think my Dad was a Quonset Hut salesman back in the 60s or early 70s. Iāll have to ask him for more details.
I only know part of the story, but I think he used to travel across the US trying to sell Quonset Huts. It might have been before I was born. I only know because I remember it being mentioned when we used to ask about this big gold ring he had, with a large red stone embedded in it. I am pretty sure the ring had the picture of a Quonset Hut on it. Pure 70s class. He got it for being a top Quonset Hut salesman one year, or something like that.

Update on the low mileage S6 with heavy oil consumptionā¦
Cylinder #2 wall scoring due to factor defect (according to Audi). My guess would be scoring caused by carbon buildup getting sucked into the cylinder and causing the scoring. Another possible scenario is damage done by an improper carbon clean. Considering the current owner bought the car with the pre-existing condition, it may be hard to figure out what actually caused it. It will be interesting to see what Audi says.
Result: Audi picks up the bill to the tune of $27k (so far), with the new engine accounting for $18k

Not that this really brings anything new to the table, but first time I had seen this companies headers/exhaust for the C6 S6.

Maybe itās just me but for that kind of money it better be faster looking than that. The exhaust didnāt sound as crisp and tight as youād expect. Sounded like something was off or broken in the mufflers.

Some info if you do not have it ā¦the first cats are 600cel and the main are 200 cel , my s4 are 400 and 200 ā¦
My friend s6 are running very strong , 2 weeks ago we did measure in lower temp 6 degree Celsius and got 110 mph trap on 95 oct ( last time was on 93) not much on 400 mts but on 1000mts got 4 more kms of trap speed to 228km (about 141 mph, time 24,2 ) I will ask for the dyno my friend did it time ago ā¦ .its got 338 whp and when he was stock 303 donāt remember the torqueā¦land and sea dyno ,so the cats out are a good 30+ whp over with everything else stock.Pretty sure if you do the s4 mod to this car and everything works good 100 hp its not out the question.

Car is totally stock. Only removed rear resonators today, because wanted a littlebit more crispy sound. Sound is good, but i feel like it lost some power after removal, mainly at 2500-3500rpm? Could that be possible. Have anyone of you made dyno test without resonatorsā¦
maybe it is just the feeling, because it is more loud at 3000rpm, so at the same torque it might feel like having more rpm:s than it did beforeā¦ so the torque might feel less because of that.
not possible unless the shop welded in a 1" pipe in place of the resonators.
Welcome to AR. Depending on if the resonators had a cross over section that would effect the car. There are several ways they could have done something to hurt performance. Do you still have your mufflers in.
They were just rear resonators replaced with straight 60mm pipe. What 80 -120 km/h times you have achieved with 4 gear or 5 gear. It feels a littlebit slower on that part nowā¦
