Lol, we didn’t talk tires though, I can get you whatever you want other than toyo
im not allowed to go. im off from work but im being forced by my girlfriend to her cousin’s birthday party. shes turning fucking 17 btw. im gonna kill myself…
glad to hear the ex-girlfriend won’t keep ya away, looking forward to some good stories!
so dimitri hooked me up with some rubber but unfortunately i dont have the time to mount em before atco… snow tires it is i guess
dude snow tires are perfect. You’ll get a bit more grip thanks to the softer compound. If it’s 45 degrees, you’ll be happy with snows.
what is the exact size of the tires? Stockers are 255.35.19 = 26.0"
my snows are the same factory size of 255/35/19

less rolling resistance with the snows, youll actually be faster on the top end
plus remember, the re-11’s in any weather under 60 will be useless unless you can burnout but you b8 guys are not on that level just yet lol
updates??
holy wind batman. today was a little rough for me between wind being a bitch and spinning like mad with snows my best time of the day was a 12.54 at 114 with a 1.88 60’ i think and a reaction time of 0.040. overall it seemed like everyone was a bit slow. trap speeds across the board weren’t very good with some cars hardly breaking 110 mph and the race gas apr car hitting the highest of 115 mph. now that the track is open tho, ill get my summers mounted up on my wheels when they get in and ill hit the track again cus right now my snows are kinda toasted… lol. at the end of the 1/4 the wind was frighteningly harsh.
I was not there but I can tell you the wind is insane in the tri-state area. A buddy of mine live in NJ (Toms River or something close to that area) and said two trees were uprooted in his yard. I guess between the rain yesterday and the insane wind last night through today it took his trees out. Early this morning there were 18 wheelers parked in the truck weigh stations along the LIE instead of driving due to the wind gusts - kind of crazy for around here.
good shit Richi. Sounds like you did well. If V2 stage 2 + headers on 93 = V2 stage 2 stock manifolds on race gas, that’s pretty solid.
Is there a list of times you can copy over?
p.s. I’ve only been at the dragstrip on one super windy day and it was TERRIFYING lol. It was a dead across sidewing, and for a while they had us down to one lane because it was too dangerous. Then it switched into our face and cars were like 3-5 tenths slower, I shit you not.
The one variable you can control is the fuel…so it would be great to get everyone on the same 93 from the same place. Of course when a dozen B8 S4s start running 12.40-13.0 everyone’s going to freak out and cry lol.
so…was I right?
auditude’s best time was 12.46 @ 113? Was that REVO 93 or race?
voltron’s head’s best time was 12.38 @ 118 (CTS-V)
i take it back i misread my last time, my best was a 12.574 at 112.95 here are the slips in sequential time order. some of these were back to back with only ten min in between

dude i know exactly how you felt, we all did lol. the wind was coming in diagonally but from the front… thats probably why my trap speeds are all over the map… I’m car 8934 btw
A guy on a bike got blown off of it at the end of the track. He cleared run and began to slow down then you could see a big wind gust hit him, he wobbled, then lost it. I thought he was going to be dead or need to be airlifted. After a minute the dude got up. We were shocked. It was hard to see because it was so far away but it took them 45 minutes to clean his bike off the track.
Another cat in a 6.0 GTO w/ slicks almost lost it at the end of the track but recovered before hitting the wall.
There was a short period when the wind died down and Spazz got a new record of 12.08. He had the fastest car there but was running ~12.2x-12.3x the entire rest of the time with all that damn wind. He got a lot of runs in.
Launching was tough for me today. I just couldn’t seem to get it to hook. 2.1 60’ was my best launch.
DA today was -861
One of the guys with a 6MT and the upgraded clutch had it blow up on his first launch. He got a 12.83 stock and this was his first time out with a new clutch, flash and exhaust. I felt really bad for him.
oh that sucks
whose clutch did he have?
here’s the times
revo car looked good. Did auditude’s dad come? or did he lend him the car?
Illspaz- 12.082@115.13mph (APR Stage 2+ V2 100)
Voltronshead- 12.38@118.73mph (CTSV Intake only)
Apexit1- 12.447@113.76 (APR Stage 2+ 100 V1, intake, exhaust)
Auditude2.0T- 12.466@113.55mph (Revo Stage 1 93 tune only)
RichiB86- 12.574@112.95 (APR Stage 2+ 93 V2 exhaust, headers, CPS, intake, clutch)
Nunyaniz- 12.5@112mph (APR Stage 2 93 CPS, Exhaust, Intake)
TimH- 12.526@112.21 (APR Stage 2+ 93 V1 tune, pulley only)
Socfan12- 12.616@110.31 (APR Stage 2+ V2 93)
Audi A5- 12.928@107.57 (Stock)
i noticed richi trapped 114.9 above on the second last slip. Solid. All around the times look just about right. Wind didnt seem to hurt too much when you take guys’ besties, other than the manual guys who struggled to launch.
what motor did that A5 have?
He had 2012 stock S4 with DSG. Audi A5 is just his username I think.
its misleading… lol
