Bench racing... spring race lined up... should be interesting...

^I’m a TJ Wrangler son, get it right!

I haven’t logged onto any in a couple of months. I get too many ideas, and modding a Jeep is endless. . .

oh damn my bad, I like TJ’s easiest thing in the world to parallel park lol

and I definitely agree… if I spend enough time a 6.4 KB supercharged WK with the 6" SL/2" rear spacer and 35" tires and $k’s in led offroading lights and an 08+ srt8 interior starts sounding like a cool idea lol

that’s funny (2.99). I see that all the time and just say why allow ANY decline at all? Then the cars can get as close to flat as they can. I mean shit a 3% grade is reasonably significant. If it takes you 1000 feet to do the run, you’re allowed to drop 29 feet? WTF is that all about. A 29 foot drop is 3 stories…and how the heck is that a good idea?

I love the grand cherokees. I’d get one as a hauler, but only if it was a diesel…can’t have two gas guzzlers. I like going on 1000 mile trips at least once a year and a bunch of shorter ones, so it’s nice to have a gas miser to use. Maybe an A4 allroad 2.0TDI is in my future?

Get a 3.0 crd WK (assuming they are avaliable in canada), I almost grabbed an 06 Overland CRD with the saddle brown leather seats but the mileage:price was not favourable, and it went against my idea of getting something simple. Its a Mercedes diesel fwiw, more torque than the Hemi too.

For the Hemi the highway mileage isnt too bad if you keep it under 75mph and let the MDS do its thing.

Yeah Audizine in general has gone way down hill at least the B8 section… Nothing but tuner wars and fanboys who stick up for their respected tuners… Most of the threads are advertisements anymore anyway… First page of the B8 section right now has 14 of the 40 topics(not including sticky) as advertisements… that’s 35% advertisements… Now wonder they didn’t want me selling paddle shifters… lol Of course you get the occasional value added threads like “the boss says I can trade my B5 in for a B8” or “bluetooth issues with the samsung galaxy” or “need your input local tire shop offered me $650 for my tires” or “advanced key worth buying”… There are maybe 3 or 4 posts that have any tech or substance on the whole first page… Oh well, enough bitching I have some work to do…

I don’t speak Jeepese. What’s WK?

05-10 Grand Cherokee, the WJ is the round looking one from the early 00’s and the WK2 is the 11+. There was a facelift for the WK in 08, much nicer interior but I dont like the exterior as much.

You’re not even kidding. It’s UNREAL to me the spots you can squeeze into. Short wheelbase with tight turning radius designed for off road though makes it’s turning radius pretty impressive. And the “back up till you feel a bump” parking sensors are also idiot proof ;D

we love our 3.7 WK so far. Same red color as beem’s but absolutely no options whatsoever. I like driving it a lot. I probably take it to school 2-3 times a week because it’s so comfortable, quiet, and i don’t have the “Was that my tensioners? no…wait was that it…nope…fuck this” thought constantly going through my mind. We got it for a steal because the dealership selling it entered the wrong price on their site. It’s an 05 with 19k that we got for 11.9.

Jeeps are just awesome. We’ve had 5 different ones now. Never an issue on any one. Saki, the 3.7 V6 in ours gets pretty good mileage. About 20 on the highway and 16 cruising around the burbs. The 4.7 V8 is bulletproof and you don’t lose really any mileage compared to the 3.7. Just lower city milage

I wouldn’t mind a 5.7 WK at all…

Hey Sak, we can arrange that race later this month, for sh!ts and giggles, I’ll let you know. I’ll be de-winterizing someone’s F430 soon if this weather keeps up. Worth the trip to “mexico” to try it against the APR tune. You’d be surprised how weak the F430 is from a roll, plus it doesn’t kickdown automatically, and shifts are not the fastest, even in ‘race’ mode.

My brother-in-law has the Mercedes-diesel Grand Cherokee. We borrowed it for a weekend up to the cottage, it got about 600 km on 70L of diesel, mostly highway. I dunno if I could own a non-german interior anymore, though, after that weekend, it is pretty unrefined, as is the ride.

all potentially true, but it still murders a b8 s4 on pump or race fuel…everywhere but in auditude’s story book lol

if you need someone to drive the f430 let me know (although i wouldn’t fit)

neat. i’m looking for 30+ highway

are these grand cherokee limiteds we’re talking about (or whatever they are)

Wow. . . screw you! I thought my last 3 cars were good deals!!! Pretty impressed they honored it, not too togh for them to say tough luck, it was a typo etc. You better give me first shot at that when it comes times to sell.

Rich, When Tsvias and Pete are done with your v-box can I borrow it? I’ll cover freight both ways… I wouldn’t mind getting my various results… I can do my testing at the strip as I can probably get up to 135ish before I have to brake since Thompson has about another 1/4mile plus after the timing strips… Better yet can you let me know where you got yours at and I’ll just buy one, assuming they aren’t too terribly expensive… I also want to get some RS4 numbers for Saki from a guy who is going to hit the strip with us… You can pm or email me or post a link… Thanks bud! I assume you got my pm as well… Just let me know when and whom I need to pay on that… Thanks bud! Ron

the limited is just a trim package, it goes laredo/limited/overland/srt8.
-laredo is the base
-limited is a chromed up (grille and door blade thingies) bigger motor (4.7 sohc or 5.7 ohv) more luxury (leather seats, heated seats, dimming mirrors, bluetoof) laredo
-overland is an even more lux (different trim, alcantara/leather seats, backup camera) limited with platnium (kinda like brushed aluminum) trim instead of the chrome with painted lowers and a honeycomb grille
-srt8 is bigger motor, brakes, body kit, dark interior, different steering wheel and no utility

yea bud the v-box is yours for the taking, just coordinate with tsivas about it and set up shipping from him and then back to me and you can borrow it for as long as you need.

they’re about $450-500 on ebay new.

Or you can buy used one, use it for 2 years, and likely sell it for 100% of what you paid for it.

Ron- I’ll send it over after this weekend. Is Monday Ok? It’s all yours. Don’t worry about freight costs.
Richi when you get it back… we gotta log your car back at the nice strip we use.

as soon as my health is back up ill be out there running
