But, Audi was nice and put in a rebuilt tip 35k ago at 99.5k for $50 cpo charge. So I have some time, I have had so many beater vw’s that i’ve dumped money into over the years im gona ride this ish till the wheels fall off,by then it’ll have 400k and a stick swap ;). But it’s still at least 4.5k soup to nuts if I do the swap my self

LOL!! stpd18 is pretty subtle… might be able to get away with that. I’d need to be on par or faster than a stage 3 1.8 before I can pull that off though, there’s too many locally that would walk all over me for that.

Further, I don’t think you guys should bang on the 1.8…frankly it’s a great engine and there are 10 and 11 second 1.8 B5 cars out there so making fun of the engine doesn’t really make sense. Some of the dickheads who drive 1.8 cars on the other hand…fuck them. Not all of them, but like any bunch, there’s always someone to spoil it.
