Oh my lord you are stubborn. If my wheels didn’t spin in those conditions I’d be disappointed. A little wheel spin is advantageous, and your 60 foot times prove you don’t have a lot. You are not going to get a 1.5 60’ time if your wheels stick on launch, because it is outside the statistical data. You should look at the variables that matter, specifically the ones you have that others with faster times don’t. Those would be oversized tires, headers, meth, hole in hood, etc. But instead you focus on something irrelevant using a false equivocation by saying if there were less wheel spin you’d have a faster E.T. Physics and logic elude you.
Primetime telling you they aren’t helping you because he’s the only person that has gone to the track and tested them on a similarly modded car, only difference being the headers themselves, and have found them to not help should be more than enough proof.
I don’t think anybody is disputing the fact that they help over stock. Who cares though, your car isn’t by any means stock if you remove the headers. You are also right that race cars in fact use headers because they flow better. But just because they’re expensive headers, doesn’t mean they’re helping. There is more engineering that goes into headers than I will ever know and I’m assuming you’re in the same boat. I think it was Justin that compared the two pictures of the headers vs. the stock exhaust with the detailed explanations of what’s happening. He made some extremely great points about why these headers aren’t performing as well as they should.
I mean common Sky, we’re all trying to help. I know you’re getting a hard time from people because of your stubbornness, but something’s got give eventually. I am by no means an expert, but there are plenty of experts here that are trying to support you in achieving your goals for your car despite you telling them they’re wrong.
I know you’re an expert on something. How may times would it take somebody asking you for help with something you’re an expert at while at the same time telling you you’re wrong before you got frustrated and just gave up?

No, the Imola guy or whoever went the same day, same car, same mods except for the headers, and also 200+ lbs lighter than Primetime. But Primetime still had the best time.

He ignored all opinion and data that was counter to his intentions, and instead he listened to a buddy who used to drag race who said ‘headers should help’. The buddy didn’t know anything about the stock exhaust mani…did not know anything about the ecode paperweights. But hey, he used to drag race.
Nevermind that 5 guys who CURRENTLY drag race…and currently drag race the b8 s4 have tested and refuted the efficacy of these pieces of junk.

I agree he is acting hard headed and isn’t taking the criticism or jabs very well at all, but regardless, he is providing us with some good data. This should help people in the future avoid some of the things he’s doing. He’s probably thrown more money at making his car faster than most of the B8/8.5 guys and he’s still almost a half second short of the record.

That’s $5,667.74 plus whatever it cost to install the headers that could have been saved, which is a conservative estimate considering a lot of the prices have come down recently. I put the meth kit in the list too because the experts are saying it’s doing you nothing, and probably actually hurting you, when you’re using it with race gas.
That’s probably over $7,000 that could have been spent on the GIAC tune, high flow cats, and probably a vacation.

To me this is the funniest part. Trap speeds are hard to fuck up. They reflect the HP Your car is making. Yet somehow skywhiner is short about 5 mph. Does he care? Nope. Hasn’t even noticed it seems. Still talking about his tires.
It is shocking he flew a ‘plain’ successfully. IE without slamming into the ground after an argument with an altimeter he was busy ignoring because someone else he asked he asked ‘knew better’ .
