Yeah, exactly. Logical post coming from a guy, Ynnekdude, who actually has a mid-12 second C6 A6, which is the fastest C6 I know of, by a long shot.

Funny, ssicks car is up for sale, and makes no mention of any further mods different than when he ran a MUCH slower time late last year.

How am I supposed to go on with life, when a stock 3L v6 is faster than my v10? Isn’t the ‘S’ in ‘S6’ supposed to mean something?

5. Acceptance

My v10 is slow and the current aftermarket products don’t help much either. It sure has comfy seats though :wink:

There is no way that he went 8.1@85mph in the 1/8 with an APR tune and exhaust.

That is 1.5seconds and 10mph faster than V8’s stock times. I won’t even go into an explanation, but if you truly believe a catback exhaust and APR tune (LOL)…even with rocket fuel would give you that type of gain…you’re nuts!

Is this the ‘secret’ to his success? Funny, he makes plans to add nitrous, and take it back to the track for a 1/4 mile run. Then we hear of a much faster time in the 1/8th.

Then, his car is up for sale, all of a sudden, with no mention of an NOS or any other new mods.

When I discussed adding nitrous to the v10 S6 before in the RS4 section, the consensus from the guys who have experience in Audis with NOS, noted that extreme caution should be exercised when designing and adding the kit. I was actually interested myself, until I calculated the expense and complexity of doing it properly, as to not expose the engine to risk of damage.

It will be interesting to see what ssicks replies. My feeling is that there is definitely a reason why we are only getting a small part of the story, that doesnt add up. And there is likely a good reason why his car is, all of a sudden, up for sale.

Since he joined, he was asking me about tuning the S6. I told him to leave it up to the Pros. But, it seems he knows better.

See this is exactly what I am talking about. You guys are ridiculous. If someone says something that you don’t agree with you jump down their throat. The car is for sale because I want a S7 like I said… I don’t see the car getting much faster and I am not going to “dedicate countless hours” trying to do that. I’m bored with the car how is that surprising? I sold my Blower/N20 Vette to get this car. Its quite a change. I am from Texas and its a lot different out here for the car world. The slow cars out here are top fuel dragsters everywhere else. No need to get butt hurt and again speculate my car and everything else. Wow ya I ran slow as Hell when I ran that day no biggy the car never got turned off in staging lanes and just wanted a baseline to learn from was a spurr of the moment thing and the GF wasn’t happy about it at that. I have never been rude to anyone on this site but just saw you guys attacking this kid that’s just stoked about his car regardless is ridiculous. The car works flawlessly I have had about 2 months since the last track outing. The changes I made to the car obviously worked so why be mad at that? Now the guy who invited me on this site is bashing me? Does that make you feel better? Do you think you’re funny? Do you need others approval to feel good? I will post the slip up here I don’t have a problem with that. There is a big T&T night the first of May that I’ll be going to in May for the 1/4 mile and get some runs on tape if the car isn’t sold by then.

Yes I have tune a bunch of GM cars and? How many have you tuned? Ohhh thats right you leave it to the “Pros”… Who might that be? APR? (There tune is cookie cutter junk a 4yo could have done. at least on the S6) JHM?? The car has been out how long and no tune?? If you cant tell I am a bit impatient so sorry. Not knocking anyone as I know they have great products but this car has been left out in the cold. I bought the car and within maybe 2 weeks I had everything done to it that you could do to it. lol I like the S7 and have seen some bad ass ones go down the track with only a tune and hit mid 12s. Thats why the car is for sale, which i might add has an extended B2B warranty to 98k miles. If my shit would have broke I would have just taken it to my friends at Audi no biggie. So continue to bash, I’ll check back in and see how the circle jerk is going later lol

Nice post. Now, just post your 1/4 mile timeslip with video (like you did the last time) so we can see your car hit mid-12s. Plain and simple. You were either lying or telling the truth.

And yes, when you start bashing the core guys on this site, then you are going to hear it from me. All those guys, including myself, did their best to answer all your newbie questions, and guide you in tuning your car, even when it was clear we were dealing with a guy who was just learning the basics of NA Audi performance modification, and struggling with that.

You don’t want to listen to our guidance? No problem, that is up to you. But I’m not going to sit around and say nothing, while you spread misinformation to confuse other people who want to get the best out of their car. That shit doesnt fly around here for a second.

Go to any other site and spread your bullshit. Or, produce the timeslip and video that show you making your mid 12s pass. And, we are all still waiting to hear how you tuned the car to go from a 14 second car to a mid-12 sec car with absolutely no prior experience tuning Audis.

So, you are selling a perfectly working mid-12 second car so that you can buy a car that, with a tune, goes mid-12s?

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I wouldnt touch your self-tuned car with a 10 foot pole. And no warranty is going to cover damage incurred by a homebrew tune (or whatever else you have done)

the problem people have is they think that because they don’t understand the quarter mile, nobody else will either. All those guys who have lied about their times have been caught out for this same reason.
