Installed an ECS oil filter housing last weekend, nice little piece, inspires a bit more confidence than the plastic

also installed some BEC Dark Cherry LED Tails and deautokey LED reverse lights, real satisfied with both

Rolled 50k finally, another 13k of warranty. Thinking it may stick around, just too damn fun even stock. A MT hatch RS3 or MT Golf R400 may make me budge

looks pretty good for 51k. will probably get a new one for when I do plugs/coilpacks at 60k

Just came to say, I still love the look of those SSR’s, but your S4 with it’s meaty tires was the absolute best.

You probably know it, but with the cam follower, it’s a two part inspection. VW has been known to commonly replace the camshaft as well as the cam follower if there were signs of damage. There was an extended service bulletin on the older motors.

And appreciate the heads up on the cam, I looked it over when I checked the follower but I’ll do it again next time.

I wanna figure out an aftermarket intake setup, this stock one is such a pita to work around.

There’s no real big dog for the R as far as tunes at the moment, UM is generally the favorite but it could be a market to grab.

Bought a used VWR intake off poontex, hopefully throw it on next weekend. Gotta check out my options for data logging in the meantime, don’t have a fancy VCDS (old K2).
