Dude, I have watched the videos. Notice that you and I are saying the same thing but at different levels of involvement?
I said that I don’t remember them making the claims, matter of fact I don’t remember who did, I just know its happened more than once. I am sure others have noticed that also.
You’re just confusing forum lore I think. Too many pieces of loose talk floating around.
Jason had no babies in babyseats in 2007. You’re thinking of their 11.9 @ 116 pass in the B6 S4 with their blower in 2011. That one had a baby seat. The reason that fact became so popular is that APR pulled the seats on their RS4 Supercharger kit to get it into the 11s. Lots of people had fun with them for that one, considering the day before on the B6 S4 JHM went 11.9 with full interior + a baby seat.
I agree on ‘a run is a run’ etc. But I will make a note in the database so people know. I also think it’s not very useful for benchmarking cars, but it’s effective. I will never bother doing it personally.
Maybe I misunderstood your post, and I apologize if so.
It seemed pretty clear you were saying you need to see it with your own eyes that they ran with stereo shit in. They did. They took it out the day they went 11.1. They ran it going 11.5 or so and on earlier trips to the track. It’s all in that giant post Jason made everywhere.
To clarify again, it was 100 lbs of stereo shit (just a big sub box) in the B5 the days before they went around new years 2007 and went 11.1 @ 130. .
It was a baby seat in the B6, full interior full exhaust.
It was full interior on all passes.
It was full interior full exhaust on the 10.8 B5 pass.
Anyone wants to know the facts, now you have them and can set them straight if they’re sandbagging the facts about JHM to make JHM look better. They don’t need any help to be honest.
You have to know however that JHM are righteous as fuck about this stuff and certainly wouldn’t be putting inflated info out there to bump their ego. Being friendly with them, I know enough about their business to know that the accomplishments they DO NOT share with the forums would be enough to make the reputation of an entire new company on. However if it’s not ‘fair’, they bury the info. An example is that they took the B5 back to the strip recently, and had a problem with going into limp mode after the 1/8th (around 4th gear). They trapped 106.7 MPH in the 1/8th. That would indicate that they’re on pace for 10.6 @ 135…but they won’t post that. In fact, one of the JHM guys will likely give me shit for even sharing it at all.
Saying if that were the case on the record runs, which it wasn’t, because that wouldnt make sense.
I have argued with people before saying this and I was called a hater, those people where adamant that the subs were always in the car and as I guess we can all agree on, those people were incorrect.
fuck I just went outside to unload a delivery and came back and saw this. I havnt even read what anyone has wrote after me I’m just surprised by the amount being written. I will start reading now.
Nobody is saying the time is bogus. It’s in a magazine article which doesn’t exactly scream impartial etc. and why should we drop the standards we impose on everyone else just because you worked at EuroCode and think they’re nice? What if the EuroCode guys saw me add a time for GIAC that says they ripped APR/EuroCode a new asshole with the B8 S4. Don’t you think they’d be a bit miffed if I posted the time just because someone told me it was xxx@xxx with an xxx 60’?
What I’m also saying is that this time is not on any of the other major Audi quarter mile databases so I can’t get the info from there. Seriously, none of them. Why?
As for this quarter mile database, we need the timeslip. If Fontana or California Speedway was NHRA, and everyone’s ok with it, that’s great. I just need the modlist so I can put it in the thread, and the timeslip so I can input the numbers. It’s pretty fucking simple.
With respect to your question of why you would share it, it’s simple too. You fucking worked there. You continue to basically work there (on this forum anyway). You are there weekly. You hang out with people there all the time.
Why on earth WOULDN’T you be able to help me get the timeslip? In that other thread, I made it very clear. I need the slip to add the time, and if you can get it, I will add the time. YOU BROUGHT THE TIME UP!
I don’t recall being given timeslips at the gp events, same with dyno sheets or course times, it was all hush hush so that we didn’t leak anything before the issue was out.
Im not there weekly I haven’t been there in 2 6-8 weeks. I haven’t even got the new 2.2 update for my car yet because I haven’t gone there since its been released. Like snowtrooper said they probably didnt get a timeslip from eurotuner. I worked at Eurocode almost 4 years ago and I obviously have a reason why I left. But they are the number one shop for Audi’s in Los Angeles, and Eurocode makes all the highest quality suspension components, shifter, and pretty much the only option for Headers. Why would’nt I go there? I also posted that Eurocode Ran a 10.87 because the person who made this posts had his facts wrong.
The rear seats bottom weights 13lbs and top weights 21 lbs why bother taking that shit out?
I will never run with out all seats and door panels ect in my car. full interior yes. full weight you cant call any car with aftermarket parts full weight the inlets weight different the exhaust the wheels ect. JHM has a ghetto front bumper that weights less then stock. Shit my euro rear bumper weights 18lbs less then the US one little shit adds up quick. heat shields ect ect ect
this can be true, and im hoping to run both cars. I am definetely runnning the kid from vegas and might run 1fastS4 as well. If me and Tyson dont race, I’m sure I will run into a GIAC stage 2 car soon enough. There are a ton of S4’s at the meets I go to.
Ya my friend is actually hosting that video and you used to be able to hear the car on the racetrack. But since David had put a Kanye west song on the first part of the video youtube edited the video and put that gay song in there.
