700 is about the going rate for DSG tunes aside from HPA who charges 12-2000 for theirs.
I wonder if the initial way the issues were fixed by APR (for stage 2 setups and obviously GIAC was experiencing the same issue) had any effect on mechatronics failures (i think I was stage 2 for both failures) and I will be interested to see what the long term effects of these tunes have on mechatronics units.
Sorry for the late response- had a crazy week and haven’t been online much… The shifts are insane, much cleaner, quicker and smoother… The fart between shifts is no longer present as well or at least much less noticeable. The car shifts at 7300 every shift, no delay even the 1-2 shift is fast with no delay… If you don’t sit at 4k and launch like a second after you engage LC the car comes out 10x harder with no delay… The launch is brutal. If it happens to clear up I will head down to the strip tonight!
Pete, Glad to hear that the DSG works much better… Really looking forward to what it will do on a good DA day… 1fast didn’t have the best DA when he ran… He did post some vids recently and it may be me or the vid but it almost seems to lag slightly after you launch, similar to a stock car… Also, after each shift it seems like a very very slight hesitation… Again, I am basing this off of a vid so I maybe way off? I trust your insight more than Tyson since he is affiliated in some way with GIAC… No doubt it’s shifting at a higher RPM… Not sure I can accurately judge the shift times based on a vid so I’ll trust that they are faster not that stock isn’t pretty fast anyway… Here is the link to his post with the vids I mentioned…

Saki, Same run you and I referenced earlier in the thread… He recently added the vids… Not sure why he waits days to do that, probably to keep bumping the thread but whatever…
Hey could be worse…we (4.2 guys) are still waiting for this video from 2010 back when he was pretending to be a customer of the GIAC tuned VF engineering supercharger. We found out later that he had the GIAC connection and was compensated for VF kit sales.

Just for the record, a VF eaton M90 RS4 is good for MAYBE 12.5 @ 111. The M90 flows about as much air as the stock RS4 motor with a decat does. In other words, it adds NOTHING. Claiming it beats a Z06 makes him a collossal fucking liar.
Oh and ‘bigdaddy’? He was one of the guys who beta tested the B6 S4 VF supercharger kit. So we’re trusting two VF compensated people? Give me a break.
I just got the tune yesterday and I can confirm it is a night and day difference. The shifts are much quicker and smoother and I also no longer have a hard shift from 1-2 in manual mode at low RPMs (which Audi stated as ‘normal’). Also feels like there’s more torque at lower RPMs.
It was raining yesterday so I didn’t go WOT much, but it’s definitely going past 7200. Hope the weather clears up so I can do some more road testing today.
