Doesn’t he work at an Audi dealership?
I’m confused. He can flash cars but is not on giac payroll?

You’re not confused… They just got caught in a multi year lie… Oh and at the end of the day I actually hope you or Pete crushes the APR times… The competition is good…
He used to work for Audi. He also had a tuning shop in Vegas and was a GIAC dealer himself.
Now I have no idea what he’s up to, besides probably owning one of these
Things that make you go hmmm…
Some may say this forum is the dark side, but the more you poke around or just sit back and read the more you may realize otherwise. It’s very interesting watching the truth ultimately surface.
No, Ron. I’m still pulling for you. And once the 1740 is out, this will all just be nonsense anyway

Far from the dark side, happy. Stick around here - best Audi forum ever. People will come to realize that in time
Oh, I don’t need to be convinced to stick around…

So he just gets free shit and a GIAC laptop?
Sounds like a situation of being a “cool” customer that escalated to full Stockholm syndrome.
Kudos to Giac for exploiting a guy who is willing to deliver new audis to them for file reading. All they have to give him is a free lap dance.
Looks like Audi has a limit on LC launches… Wonder if Austin will address the comments about LC not being faster, that can’t possibly be true could it? LOL

Haha is there seriously a limit on this or is this some kind of April fools joke? From the AZ thread

Thats 100% true. Mine was 100…I got that on my gti CV took care of it in the tune after that.
Thanks for clearing up, it’s hard to decipher between fact and fiction over there lol

CV tuned your gti??

love the part where it says they performed check for TD1.
It’s completely understandable why they put a limit on these sort of things. Either way, that is a lot of times to launch the car even if you are going to the strip on a regular basis!

Yup it was my buddies gti with dsg he did both the ecu and dsg this was 4 years ago or more.
Any testing of the CV GTI tune? 1/4 mile or similar? Or was it a one off?

a one off that was surprisingly fast and caught lots of quick cars off guard.
I got flashed thursday am. GIAC’s base file was from my TCU, so it matches up nicely.
Pulls hard all the way till redline now. P3 gauge says 6885 rpm, needle goes to 7K, so not sure what true RPM limit is set at (need to do some logs)
My TCU version was the latest and greatest from Audi. The shifts are quicker, but not “night and day” different from what other people are reporting.
Either way, cant wait to hit the strip.
Nice! Really looking forward to your results at the strip!
It’s super hot here (which my Cali wife loves), so the strip will have to wait until September.
Never know, clouds and marine layer could spike that theory and make it good.
