Question do I have to put any silicone on head gaskets when I’m installing rear main cover?
You put a thin layer of sealant on both the top and bottom surfaces on the end of the head gasket.
You will need to chamfer the top of the ends of the locator pins as well so you can align the timing cover without pushing all the sealant you just applied to the bottom of the gasket to the back.
Ok thank you
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knew the nm for the torque converter bolts

I need to figure out how to run windows xp on my windows 10 pc. I am sitting on a new Bentley manual DVD install disk but can’t use it.
I use Oracle’s Virtualbox to create a virtual machine. I also exported that VM so I have a backup copy on a few different mediums. Has worked flawlessly - I even semi automated a way to print the sections I want to pdf and export them to my dropbox so I dont’ always have to fire up the VM when I need some of the more common info.
I have virtual box, how do you go about getting a windows do iso? Do I have to buy an xp key?
XP is unsupported at this point so I don’t think you’d be able to buy it directly from Microsoft. A quick glance on ebay and there appear to be a plethora of discs floating around there.
Does anyone definitely know for sure if I remove my cats and get the jhm tunes will it pass emissions in New York?
Due to the crazy government tree huggers raiding tuning companies. I would think JHM won’t be able to tell you. Normally I would say email them and ask.
I do know the no cat tune works in a few other states. What are the requirements for NY emissions testing. I know the few locals that removed the cats don’t have any codes on the dash or stored codes for cats. But I never really checked readiness.
Ok I’ll take a look into it but I think I might just leave the cats because with my luck watch it not pass lol
Hey guys I had a question so the washer that’s on the outer of the flywheel I cut into to it to previously to remove a stripped bolt it’s still fine I just grinded into it. Does that have to do with anything affecting the balance or should I just change it?
Well guys I reconnected the transmission to engine with help with my 10 year old little brother. I had the engine on the crane and adjusted it to the level of the transmission. It was sitting on bricks still so I pushed my entire body into engine to push it up to it and at same time he guided me to line the screw holes and he screwed in the 2 bolts 1 on each side enough to where it was holding it’s self together for me to let go of engine to where crane and bricks made it one piece held together and put other screws in and tighten it. After I screwed the torque converter up
Hey guys I see my exhaust has resonators on it and from what I read up it makes the car quieter. Should I remove them? Is there any benefits?
Sorry no one got to you, what did you end up doing with that boot that stripped?
Which stripped bolt? The flywheel?
I used different sets
For the bolts holding fly wheel I used this
REXBETI Impact Bolt & Nut Remover… https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W91Y3LQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
And for every other bolt I stripped that other set wouldn’t work for I used this. I didn’t think it would work but it definitely did. I removed screwed where locking pin goes and one of cylinder head screws where there was no head so I drilled into it and used that to get it out
