sure sure… This is the only tune that comes with its one list of excuses and that is ready… but not ready and needs more boost but…its great… but its not…
but hey tony has been great… taken your money… needs to use you as a test dummy and just keeps trying to give you more and more files till you guys get this figgured out… BUT ITS READY…
at least EPL and its customers are still using the old excuses… it will be better I just need more revisions and a driver mod…driver mod on a car where you just have to push your foot all the way to the floor.
I think with a dsg tune, driver mod and minor revisions there are a couple tenths. If I can get the 60 down into the low 1.7 high 1.6 that alone will get me a 12.0
Good luck…I supose its nice your showing how big of a fail this is while you try to make it sound great. Sooner or later EPL should figgure this out. You seem quite commited to getting this to work for them
when you know what your doing you don’t need a custom tune… Funny thing is your the only one that needs a custom tune… Your custom tune hasn’t faired any better then a non custom tune…so what is the point of that… Oh and here is a non known tune that went faster then you.
Whats my purpose… your drounding like everyother EPL customer… You have the same excuses… the same issues and you think your doing just great. Funny how every audi EPL tunes they tell them they need a custom tune… Tell me how the guy in south africa did just fine and faster then you with a no named tune… oh its called knowing what your doing…
If you think this failure is great… Thats your issue. Im trying to tell you that your in the same sinking ship everyother EPL customer has been in. So is everyone else. But TONY IS GREAT…Custom…Roll eyes… Funny how your custom time is slower then the off the shelf proven and safe tunes…
Next time tell people you dodn’t pay over 1000$ to be a test dummy so a company could figure out how to tune on your car. Then show logs like you said you would. The dyno is pointless we all know that. Everyone already sees how the car performs a dyno at this point will only make it worse if it reads good.
My issue is that your truing to prove something that just isn’t true… here are your own words.
to help other people out and show that apr and giac aren’t the only ones who can provide a safe powerful tune
Your trying to make this look like this is true… so far it isn’t even close to true… We know what your setting out to do and why yoiu keep saying this is so great… its not… APR and GIAC are the best and people should get them for a reason… Your the living reason.
Sure, it’s funny that someone would put up their worst times. I’m sure if I had lw rotors, test pipes, and lw wheels I would have had a 12 flat, but I’m not a bench racer, I just need practice and better tires to get my 60’ down and that should land me a 12.1 as it sits.
We will see, for now it’s reliable, smooth and fun
It’s a B8 S4. You’re adjusting timing slightly. The throttle is hardly touched at all. You’re eliminating boost bleedoff. You’re leaning out AFR a hair.
THAT’S IT.
Why…oh why…does ANYONE need a custom tune for the B8 S4? We already showed you this 6 months ago that custom tuning is a hare brained scheme on a nearly stock car with basic bolt ons. He hasn’t changed the internals and cams in your 3.0T has he? From 1000 km away? No, he has done what I posted above (if that…sounds like he still can’t get boost bleedoff right).
OK…let’s see how it stacks up. These are all PUMP GAS. No meth, no race, no tricks. Your super special custom tune is…unlucky 13th. Note that I just took each guy’s fastest runs, not the mutltude of times they ran, then improved next trip and we added that too. These are 1 run per car. Actually you’re unlucky 14th because I haven’t added Auditude3.0T’s B8.5 time of 11.9. His old car’s time is there though.
Where it matters on the B8 S4, as we’ve seen it is:
tune
pulley
intake
That’s it for power. From there great LW parts help, as does a cooling system upgrade if you’re in less than favourable conditions etc. Basically stuff to preserve the power.
You have "
tune
pulley
intake
and you have LW wheels and tires (relative to stock at 60 lbs/corner…you’re 40lbs lighter rotating)
My wheels and tires weigh close to 50lbs, hardly lightweight
Now take it the cars with hfc or test pipe and I’d say it’s respectable for the first time out
Custom tune will come in handy for e85, not to mention I have the ability to flash at home… No other tuner allows this. If apr or giac had this option I probably wouldn’t have looked further
That is a great personification of the failure that is epl.
Epl told him he makes over 400 whp on pump. Like 420. Epl owns the particular dyno that said that though.
He races some 500-600 whp epl tial cars (epl dyno again) and gets obliterated and they all say “wow tials are amazing”. They’re all epl cars so they all tell each other the same lie really. Terrible benchmark. Since they’re all so shit slow (tial epl cars tend to run 12s…which is embarrassing for 500+whp cars. 500 whp puts a MRCTTS, JHM or APR rs4 in the low 11s at 125 mph on pump) the epl f21 guy just thinks they’re superfast.
Then the 420 whp epl f21 monster raced another b5 that made 410 whp tuned somewhere else and the other guy put BUSLENGTHS on him. (epl didnt own the road they raced on)
he posted the video and audizine chalked it up to “the one car dynod when it was a bit warmer out”. Nobody would say “epl is full of shit”
Silly audizine.
Now we see him at the strip…and the lie really falls apart. Maybe now people will understand why we ignore the dyno and demand acceleration testing. Epl doesnt own the dragstrip timers.
The curtain is pulled back and the ‘wizard’ is revealed to be just little Tony…and his dyno computer, and as we have been saying here for 3 years, he can’t tune. He runs a helluva dyno though.
if you watch the video it sounds like he missed fourth.
If we look at his 1/8 time which was registered before the 4th gear change we can extrapolate his 1/4 time and trap pretty easy.
AZ will tell you he was on his way to an 11 but missed fourth. In his 420 whp epl monster.
Nope
There’s a rule in drag racing that if you multiply the 1/8 by 1.55 you get 1/4 time. If you divide 1/8 trap by 0.785 you can come up with 1/4 mph within about 1 mph. A little less reliable but close.
Its VERY reliable within a tenth as long as the guy didn’t fuck up the first half. He disnt here…good launch , great 1-2 shift, decent 2-3 shift. So 1.55 should be reliable right?
As a test, the b8 s4 went 7.95 at 88.43. This works out to 12.32 @ 112.6…which is almost exactly what he ran.
B5
8.16 x 1.55 = 12.64
88 ÷ 0.785 = 112.7
I bet he didn’t run much better than 12.55 @ 113.5 all day. Sazon? Confirm?
In other words the 420 whp B5 is REALLY making about 350 whp.

LOL! No doubt… Just shows further what a joke dyno numbers can be… My car only dynoed 361WHP but yet can run 11.7-11.9, all day every day… Dynos FTL, especailly ones owned by the company making the tune!
