I just know that there is absolutely no sex in the Champagne room.

He posted it on his son’s facebook account I believe, to get his son to call him.

He had already gone to the police and to the PGA TOUR about the incident.

He then contacted the golf channel to tell them what happened.

None of these things would be what someone would do to hide the fact that he went to a strip joint.

Alright Waste Management starts tomorrow. Solid field this year - lots of big names. And obviously, there’s Tiger. Looks like he’s slimmed down a bit? Shld be interesting to see how he fares. Any way to stream this thing? Would love to have it on my phone at work tomorrow and Friday.

Btw - how did Padraig Harrington get in? Thought he lost his Tour card.

Why would you go to the media and police if you were trying to hide something ?

Did he pay off the homeless guys to call him a liar and draw attention to potential inaccuracies? Because if you believe the homeless guys, you don’t believe the strip club story as the fingerless conflict each other .

If he was at the strip joint and checked out with a $3400 tab at midnight, how on earth did he do that in 30 minutes? (footage shows him leaving the restaurant at 11:06pm…presumably he wouldn’t get settled at the strip joint till 1130. He checked out at midnight according to this very vague report) .

So what did he do… Get 50 three minute lap dances (which would take 2.5hrs) at $20 a piece for him and 3 friends…all before they checked out 30 minutes after arriving? Or maybe they each had six girls at a time for 30 minutes … 6 x $20 x (30/3)) = $1200 each x3 = 3600. That’s the only way to get the math to work. Even if they had 3 bottles of dom at $500 a pop leaving $2000 for strippers for 3 guys, the story and tab is basically impossible in 30 minutes

Why is everyone scrutinizing allenby yet NOBODY is scrutinizing these bullshit ‘reports’?

Did he go to the media, or was it the other way around? I thought the Golf Channel obtained a copy of the photograph he posted on his private Facebook account.

Again, like I said, you raise good points that I hadn’t thought of before.

Tiger’s blowing it out there. 6 over through 7 on the day right now. Such a shame.

Ouch. Crazy seeing him shoot in the 80s. Has to be especially brutal in front of a gallery like that.

Well, off to Torrey . . .

His short game woes…we discussed this after Isleworth I think. It’s not normal.

I played Bay Hill, and a lot of the greens are elevated similar to the ones at Isleworth. The grain grows into you so the uphilll pitch shots are tough if you’re not comfortable. My friend who is a member at Bay Hill (scratch) has played Isleworth and he was sympathizing with Tiger on the toughness of those tight lie chips. I wasn’t buying it. So a few times, we threw down a few balls and flipped them up to the pin. I had zero problem with it, and found it just typical tight lie pitching. My friend had an awful time, opting for the putter a few times. He kind of has tight lie chipping yips though, so that explains it.

I don’t think it’s technique. It’s a fear thing. He is terrified, adn that’s why he’s reacting so desperately to those situations. Chipping with a 4 iron…putting from 15 yards off the green…these are fear moves to prevent you from quitting at the ball and fatting it. He just needs to grab his 60 and accelerate through these like he used to. Get over it already.

What do you think about the choice of venue for his first tourney back from injury? He hadn’t played the Phoenix Open in what, 14 years? The gallery is raucous and can be pretty brutal. Tiger was booed three times at #16 in his first round. The camera caught his expression after making a 6-footer for par - he breathed a sigh of relief walking off the green and was visibly nervous.

We’ll see how he does at Torrey. Certainly a more favorable course for his game.

Edit: guess he’s not working on his short game, sak.

Looks like another back injury - or just aggravation of existing problems. I really think his career may be over.

he was trying to gut it out because he was around par lol

then he bladed a flop shot and made double and WD’d

Have to say I’m pretty bummed out about all this. Sak, I know you’re not the biggest Tiger fan, but this guy was one of my childhood idols (along with MJ). I followed him religiously through high school and college. And to watch him Peter out like this . . . it’s really depressing. He’s someone I always looked up to - not for personal matters obviously, for there he is seriously lacking. But rather his seemingly neverending will to be the best at whatever cost. Winning the U.S. Open on a fractured leg encapsulated that mentality more than anything.

And look how far he’s sunk. I consider it a tragedy, not just for golf, but for lovers of perfectionists of all athletics. Rough day, especially watching the rerun now on GC.
