Ian Baker Finch is awesome. I can’t see how you don’t like him. He’s sharp, he’s funny, he’s pleasant, and he once got caught live on air calling Nick Faldo a ‘sheep shagger’

Miller is awesome, but he’s getting old and senile. Am I right to remember him dropping an F bomb on air by accident last month?

The rest are a bore. Faldo aka Falso is an asshole. Feherty is like chocolate. I like chocolate as much as the next person, but in small doses. You couldn’t eat a whole plate of chocolate for dinner. And you wouldn’t want to listen to Feherty for 4 hrs.

Azinger is excellent.

British Open on NBC this year. Will be interesting to hear Johnny Miller reminisce…it’s at Birkdale where he won his Open. This will be his last major as a broadcaster. He’ll guaranteed cry. He cries every other week.

Miller’s retiring? That’s depressing as fuck.

That’s terrible to hear. He is great.

I like both Baker-Finch and Nobilo.

Used to like Nantz, but recently he’s seemed a bit too fond of the sound of his own voice.

Nobody mentioned Tirico…I like him, too.

Oh yeah. The Tirico/Strange duo was great. Then ABC ditched golf lol.

Torico is fantastic at every sport. His detailed knowledge is impressive given that he’s a generalist. So glad he moved to NBC, as I can barely stomach the pussies on ESPN. It’s become nearly unwatchable.

Looking forward to Tirico’s work at the British Open.

Also, Faldo’s commentating is decent - I don’t have a problem with any of it. But I get the sense that he’s a douchebag in person, so that sort of colors my opinion of him.

I’m still really bummed that Miller is apparently done after this year - he’s by far the best in the business.

Who are everyones favorite and least favorite golf commentators/analysts? Should be interesting to compare.

I really loved and really miss Peter Oosterhous.

I like:
Feherty
Miller
Kostis
Begay
Pepper

I think I used to like Lunquist but he bugs me a bit now.

Indifferent:

Azinger
Faldo (I like how he showers Mickelson in love though, and I must say I’ve always been shocked with how he dedicated himself to CBS mic duty therefore taking himself out of the Masters field wayyyy before most golf greats with a green jacket do so. Does he not play at all any more or something?)

I kinda dislike:
Koch

Guys I wish would shut the fuck up every time they open their mouth:
Baker Finch
Wadkins
Nobilo

Left out thoughts on McCord?

And Nantz too

McCord is fine, not as original as he thinks he is
Nantz is a primadonna
Maltbie is likable
Jacobson is fairly likable

As long as no fox and joe buck, i could care less. I do enjoy listening to faldo and zinger

Yeah, Nantz is a bit much at times. I wanted to slap him at Arnie’s funeral. He seemed more interested in making it about him and stealing the show.

Strange and Azinger are also solid. Azinger Faldo was a good combo mostly because Azinger gave faldo shit for being a prick on tour for 20 years.

Azinger is now on the FOX team covering the US Open isn’t he? After they fired Greg Norman?

they dumped out after 2006 season. Ratings were good for 2007 and first half of 2008 until Tiger checked out with his stress fracture, then 2009 his world blew up and basically he (and the ratings) never returned.

Now the TOUR is contemplating dumping NBC and CBS contracts and going to the market…and reports are the ESPN and FOX are offering massive money. Not sure what came of that as this was in the fall.
