Also, Faldo’s commentating is decent - I don’t have a problem with any of it. But I get the sense that he’s a douchebag in person, so that sort of colors my opinion of him.

I’m still really bummed that Miller is apparently done after this year - he’s by far the best in the business.

^^ wow that would be a massive shakeup.

Yeah, Nantz is a bit much at times. I wanted to slap him at Arnie’s funeral. He seemed more interested in making it about him and stealing the show.

Strange and Azinger are also solid. Azinger Faldo was a good combo mostly because Azinger gave faldo shit for being a prick on tour for 20 years.

Azinger is now on the FOX team covering the US Open isn’t he? After they fired Greg Norman?

they dumped out after 2006 season. Ratings were good for 2007 and first half of 2008 until Tiger checked out with his stress fracture, then 2009 his world blew up and basically he (and the ratings) never returned.

Now the TOUR is contemplating dumping NBC and CBS contracts and going to the market…and reports are the ESPN and FOX are offering massive money. Not sure what came of that as this was in the fall.

Fox and golf never mix for me. ESPN I’m good with. ABC I liked was a Shame

i liked how ABC would always play music into and out of commercial. OFten could hear Alice in Chains and other good 90s stuff

I was happy to see Fowler finally close out a 54-hole lead yesterday. Not that he exactly finished in a blaze of glory, what with going bogey-bogey on 17 and 18, but he finished with the same margin over 2nd place that he started the day with - 4 strokes.

If he can learn to truly close, he’s got some majors in him, IMO. The talent is there - it’s the space between his ears that isn’t quite there yet.

They flashed an interesting stat on Saturday - pound-for-pound, Fowler drives it further than everyone else on tour with the exception of Justin Thomas - averages 309.7 yards from a 150-lb frame.

He’s still highly overrated. He has 4 tour wins. Four. All four are good wins mind you (players, honda, quail hollow and TPC Boston) but seriously…4. He’s mentioned alongside Jordan Spieth. Jordan Spieth wins 4 times a year, not 4 times in 8 years.

It’s funny how fancy clothes make you a household name. Like Jesper Parnevik. By any measure he had a forgettable career, other than his attire and personality. Now he has a solid 8 digit networth, rather than having to take up a second career after leaving professional golf.

Fowler appears to be one of those guys. Good, not great…but has more fans than 99% of the tour.

p.s. Fowler is also pushing 30…people think he’s still a kid with tons of potential. Nope…he’s 29 this year and is burning through his good years with very little in the W column to show for it.

Watched the first half of the 2-part “Feherty” show featuring Phil Mickelson the other day - good stuff, so far - looking forward to the second half.

Heard on Feherty that Oosterhous has Alzeimers. Shit.

Bravo Sergio. Never been much a fan of his but found myself rooting for him. Solid Masters.

Same

It was another epic Sunday at Augusta - my favorite televised sporting event every year.

Very happy for Sergio.

yeah, that was great. Most demonstrative winner I’ve seen of any tour event in 20 years. For 10 minutes straight he was fist pumping and cheering. Awesome.
