I have seen a few guys who fly them into the stratosphere (well…2500 feet up anyway) only to run out of battery and have them free fall to earth. They’re always fine. I think they’re made of lint.
it was mounted on the roof from the looks of it. Hence the noise and the getting ripped off at speed.
RAM mounts…those good? I have 2 dSLRs, one large full fram Canon 1 series, and one prosumer sized T2i. I wonder if they can hold the prosumer sized camera + a fast lens…
I love mine. I have both the GoPro mount and the Ram mount and I find the Ram mount to be far more sturdy and maneuverable/flexible. Here’s a video comparison:
In the R8 video I had the GoPro Mix i didn’t use the external lavaliere (spelling?) mic with the foam. Ill upload a few examples after this weekend of the new mic set up, soooo much better.
Funny how different the downshifts sound. Almost no sound, just the mechanical whir and a little burp.
Here’s one with the microphone taped to the bumper dead centre. Sounds pretty fucking fantastic. No wind noise, no problems. Lots of bass, lots of great sound and no real bad distortion.
Sorry for the delay in posting the video. I seem to be having issues posting .avi files on Youtube? The attached (really shitty quality video) is a compressed MP4 format.
it’s funny, I recognizse the pitch of your engine when it is where mine redlines (8000-8200)…and then yours keeps going to an even higher pitch. It’s pretty funny.
I always remember driving the RS4 for the first time a few years back while I still owned a B7 S4…it was SO HARD to allow yourself to get to 8000 RPMs. I was always shifting at 6500-6700 which is where my B7 S4 was optimally shifted in 3rd and fourth.
Count Vohn was laughing at me when we raced beemercer and I was shifting before 7000 in the RS4. “What are you doing? Trying to lose?”
He was unimpressed lol
Bear, is your car SMG or whatever BMW calls it? I can’t remember and the shifts sound nice and quick. If not, good work!
