Hi All. Owner of the RS4 with the AMD S/C base kit checking in.

I have no idea what AMD’s plan is (I’ve actually never met Jason) but I talked to the owner of the 1.0 car. The car went to the strip and the number is low. Only thing they might be “working” on is going back with race gas to see if they can go even faster. I don’t know what’s what, but I’m pretty sure it was the fastest 1/4 for an RS4 ever.

I know this is a big “cock tease”, but in the interest of getting all of the info, from the “horses mouth”, I’m not going to post the time or trap. And I know none of you know me, but I can guarantee there won’t be any legitimate comments about the kit not performing…

Really this isn’t a tease at all. We know how amd works. Push the car for no care of break of failure. APR TTS and just about any company that is making a kit can do what AMD did. WOW they pushed more boost.

A kits performance is judjed in more then just how some company did no testing and just turned up the boost when they failed at the track. What everyone needs to see is how they handle this. We don’t need more vintage amd. post big this and big that only to have a car that 3 months later is broken and needs a new motor.

Posting a 11.4@126 is great and all but lets do the people a real service and make sure the car can hold all this for more then 3 weeks before we declaire over boosting a car a victory. All amd has proven time and time again is that they are willing to blow up customers cars to try and get there name on the map.

I thought they were gearing up for a big release on Monday. What are they waiting for if the results were so good?

Is this it? Found it on aviva’s channel…

Nice find. 11.36 @ 126. Tuned by united and not EPL? Congratulations!

Double post…

That is an awesome time, hope to see RS4s in the 10s by 2014!

I wonder how the B5 AMD following will feel about them dropping EPL …also the 1/4mile is now going to be their standard and they will parade the time-slips around.

Damn that is fast

That’s an awesome result. I’m happy for Jonathan at aviva.

I wonder if anyone will ever say ‘wow sakimano was right’

Its really echoey and loud on the interior video. Did they pull the interior? Not that it matters much but just wondering? Also what fuel did they use? I also wonder if they played with tire pressure as it seems they couldn’t launch it very well

Is that Jeff Atwood at united?

I was thinking that too. Seemed excessively loud for a full interior car.

wow good run on that rs4!

UM also posted it on their FB page!

this is a weird quote…

Axel asked if it is full interior, what fuel was used etc. Then PER answered this
My take, FWIW: the only thing that should be established in the context of this video is: was it a certified track? That’s because the only thing that I see the video asserting is that it’s the world’s quickest and fastest RS4. Nothing more, nothing less. So, does it really matter if it were running with 89 octane or a trunk full of nitrous or anything else to support that claim? No. It’s the quickest and fastest RS4 that has ever been documented via the standard requested and accepted means of video and two time slips.

/My 2 cents on that topic.
Very strange to say. It really does matter if its on pump gas, or running nitrous etc.

As far as fastest RS4, it’s definitely the fastest 4.2 Rs4. That car in Europe however went 8 seconds iwth a 2.2T swap lol.

When asked if it was full interior, PER said ‘the car has full interior’

I think he thought someone was asking if it was a stripped out car, permanently. The question was really 'did they pull the seats and the seatback and the trunk floor and material etc. like APR did. Per wasn’t there so he shouldn’t really be commenting.

The stuff weighs maybe 100 lbs from the b pillar back, and another 60 lbs for the passenger seat. So hopefully that gets clarified.

Damn that’s quick. I’m impressed. It did sound pretty loud tho. The in car camera location looked a little low and toward the front of the cabin so maybe that contributed to it. Hopefully they did this right and ran it full interior on pump gas but we shall see…

The car is LOUD, period. Last time I saw it, the back seat was out. But that was all. That was over a month ago, so not sure whether that changed or not.

But it really is just super loud. It was by far the loudest car at that track day I rode in it…louder than Frenchy’s gutted and built B5. Louder than everything.

Fuel was Washington state premium. I know they expect to get more out of it with Race fuel.

Yes, that makes sense that the seats were out of it. I reckon the backseat, and trunk floor and all that foam shit that houses the tire puncture kit and the tools etc. was removed as well. It was loud outside on the video, but not that loud. It’s an RS4 with a full exhaust and no cats and a supercharger. That’s going to be loud. but the sound inside the cabin was a real metallic tinny sound like a stripped car. Not saying they stripped it, but the seats are likely not in it in that video.

Can you see the front seat (passenger) in the video? I can’t remember.

Also Jared did he have race seats or anything when you were in it?

It sounds stripped to me, anyone on here with an rs4 and aftermarket exhaust go drop the back seats and I bet it sounds similar. They also used a bloody launch control, wish I had my old car to go and better it

no offense to the aviva car but their launch sucked. They left a bunch of time on the table.

It’s not really launch control…just a clutch dump at a user selected RPM. They dumped at 3000 RPM and bogged BADLY on that video. The car falls on its face on the line.

The TTS car cut a 1.88 60’ with a not so great launch, and this Aviva car cut a 1.85. Also not great.

My all motor stock car cut 1.82-1.83 times a bunch of times. We have seen 2 different JHM tuned cars cut 1.75 60’ times. That’s a big difference.

I think the Aviva guys need to work on lowering tire pressure a bit and launching from 3500 RPMs. Lower pressure till you’re not spinning much, and they’ll see some results.

No race seats when I was in it. Harness, but stock seats.

Funny to see epl listed as a united motor sports dealer
