Looks good. You got two of my favorites. Good taste. Pretty much sold on the trm’s. Been looking for some lightweight wheels and wanting something unique at the same time. Bottom line is I like the simplicity of those and the clean fitment without dinking around with making something fit thats not designed to. Function>form. Those are a great mix IMO.
so much for that lol
I thought the RS6 driveline was going into the S6 Avant?
sounds like not
There is a lot wrong with the rs6… Sounds like its a good idea he sells it. Its a rebuilt title with a bad suspension transmission. Might be looking for too much money… Good idea to get rid of it with all those issues.
Yup, its up on the chopping block. As stated in the listing, it needs a lot of work. About $3k to certify with coilovers replacing the DRC, brake pads, and all new front control arms. Then, to be safe, the timing belt job is due.
So, with the decision to dump a bunch of money into it or sell, I am choosing to sell (if I get my asking). If I dont get my asking then Ill certify and drive it for awhile. But as I learned on another project, it doesnt really make sense to go half way on these things, and I need the money for other projects right now.
The response the car is getting is crazy. About six different people contact me a day. Most are dreamers, or kids with no money. However, I have a few more serious guys who understand the condition (I am not hiding anything, and being very straight forward with what has to be done). So, we will see what happens.
The A6 has been sold, btw, but Ill never sell the S6. It isnt as fun to drive as the A6 was, but it is just so practical. LOL. I must be getting old.
That said, I am checking out some 944 Turbos and 928s. I figure, why keep trying to make a sedan a sports car. Never had a Porsche before, so we will see how that goes.
I had never planned that. Some other guys suggested it. I only had plans to dismantle my A6 for all the parts, and use them to fix the RS6. But now that the A6 is sold, that wont be happening.
RS6 is gone. I never really got the full RS6 experience, as I decided not to fix the things needed to make it road worthy. So, it was either at the garage or sitting in my driveway for the entire time I owned it.
Oh well. At least I can say I owned an RS6. LOL
Can’t say I was sad to see it go. After getting up to 15 jokers a day contacting me about the car over the last couple months, it is nice to finally say it is SOLD.
Just tire kickers? Or anything worthy of sharing?
I had some hilarious guys. I should have saved all the messages/emails.
The guys that are the worst are the ‘traders’. They always want top dollar for their piece of crap. This was just one funny one…

Interested in a trade for a 2006 Toyota Solara convertible with only 68000km?
I can give you $8000 for the car off the selling price, of $11999.
Thanks
Michael
Sorry it would have to be a straight trade. My car is worth at the very very least $13000.
Check Toyota.ca. They have an appraise your trade in tool. Yours is worth $10-12k on trade in. Mine is 18K- $22k. If you give me blue book value for mine, then Ill give you blue book for yours. You cant have mine at a huge discount, and then expect above blue book for yours.
I wouldnt keep your car. I would just sell it off. So, I cant offer you any more than that. Your best bet is to sell it privately for $13k, and then purchase the RS6 for $11,999.
Cheers
Michael
Just because you lower your price, you shouldn’t expect someone else to.
Thanks
LOL. Shaun, I am not a Used car dealer. I dont want your piece of crap camry convertible. I would only take a trade in on it if I could sell it off in a week, and make a small profit for my trouble. If you have a Dodge Viper, Ill gladly give you blue book value on a trade. But I have no interest in acquiring a Japanese tin can.
Thanks
Michael
You might not be one but you act like one. A small profit??? You’re hoping to make $5000 of me! Good luck maybe you’ll be able to rip someone else off!
rough, some of the tire kickers are fun to fuck with.
I lucked out with my A6, got a guy who really wanted the car, was willing to do the legwork (transport) and was willing to deal through email/mail
Nice.
Yeah, it was funny at first but got old real fast LOL
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
I knew there’d be gold!
I didn’t ever realize it was for sale. That woulda been a fun project for someone willing to put some time into it. Sorry it had too many headaches for you to enjoy.
