Intro and N2O questions

Shit Dan!!! Thats a bummer about the spare tire area being to small. So your going to have the N20 for this Saturdays dyno day…? Very excited to do some pulls with you see how bad my slow ass Audi does.

yeah, should be picking it up friday evening… idea is to have it ready for Sat, and do some dyno testing.

I like the angled valve adapter idea… ill mention that.

Well cancel the friday pickup… apparently JHM left out a nitrous line from the kit when it shipped… will know more tomorrow.

:’(

Oh no that sucks. Maybe they can tell you the information and you can get the line local and they can just refund you the difference

Update:

Redline Speed Worx in NJ is doing this instal for me. They did the headers on this car as well, and did a great job.

Today i got the update that they were able to make a replacement hose for the one missing from the kit.

They were also able to modify the spare tire compartment and bottle mounting setup enough to get everything to fit cleanly… this is huge, as i really wanted to preserve the trunk space.

More pics and info when i pic the car up Wed night.

This is a great thread, looking forward to seeing how she goes not only on the dyno, but on the road too.

Good Luck, great looking car with some really worthwhile mods.

It looks so serious having that in there

The nitrous kit was launched (beta testers) back in 2010. A couple of them came out, kicked some ass…and then the whole thing disappeared while people lusted after the supercharger

I swear, a B6 avant with nitrous, piggies, and a few lw parts like FW and rotors (which need replacing by now) is the ultimate sleeper. If you ignore the cost of clutch/flywheel and rotors since you were about to buy them anyway, you’re looking at $4,000 max and you’re killing it. For a $12,000 Avant and $4,000 that’s a lot of fun

Find an avant with a blown motor, go JHM built, get some bigger jets, and you’re at what…$22,000 and making 500 whp?

Better pic of the bottle with lines installed…

That looks great. How did it turn out out when you put the carpet down.

It lays flush as it should… i post more pics and initial reviews tomorrow night after pic it up.

Cant wait! ;D

Killer!

That is a really cool install. I like saki’s idea for the $14k sleeper. Ridiculous!

minor oversight on my part, and the shop in NJ… anybody know where i can get a N2O tank filled in the tri-State area?

::slight_smile:

that is hilarious

that’s like sitting down to eat your favourite meal that you just prepared for 90 minutes, and a little maggot crawls out of it right before the first bite

Try pming 91gl on here. He’s at Prime Motoring in east Rutherford and had a nitrous b6 s4. Or call his shop http://www.prime-motoring.com/#home

This is what i need… you win my night just for the effort… thanks!

An yes… its pretty much exactly like that
:’(

I think he put nitrous on his current R32 as well!

Love the bottle install

Does it mix with fuel all the time when used, or just if injectors fail, or run lean?

Any chance it could provide some cleaning with fuel to the backsides of the valves of the FSI engines? NOS power plus carbon cleaning all in one package
