We agree on 1 thing. I liked that car so much I bought a Honda Insight 5 door - a nice 2600 pound car with more interior room than a Macan and can hold an 8’ surfboard. Obviously there is no hydrogen infrastructure in the United States and the FCX was way more expensive than they sold it for, which was still 2x the cost of an Insight. Thankfully for Tesla, there is electricity in every man made structure.
I’m actually glad that all of this is being stored in the Internet archive and waybackmachine, because you guys are going to sound like idiots 50 years from now. The notion that spending $10 a day on carbon fuel for a powerplant you have to drive around with is pretty antiquated. Like 1900’s antiquated.
Regarding the Model X, it’s still going to cost you $80k to get into one with modest options net of incentives. It will be interesting to see what this does to Macan, Cayenne, X5, Q7, Escalade sales. I know a lot of people who bought the Macan because they got tired of waiting for Model X, and as first time Porsche customers they’re really liking the brand.
I still don’t understand the logic of someone who gets irate that a person who pays over $7500 a month in federal income taxes alone would get a 1 time rebate of $7500 on a car purchase. How dare they get their tax money back? For the people who “don’t add good”, that’s only a $300k a year income. That’s first base in California.
