The Tesla modding has not begun yet. Tesla has not built a ground up performance car yet. This is just fitting 2 motors to a basic sedan body. Change the gear ratio from 7.5:1 fixed to something else and you probably could run 10 second quarter miles. The new roadster will run 7 second quarter miles.

You’re making shit up again. The Tesla is lightning fast until wind resistance takes over. So more like 95 MPH rather than 50 MPH. There’s no air resistance at 50. Only then do caveman cars have an advantage.
BTW, Tesla now includes Ludicrous mode for free in the Model S/X Performance. So for $99k you can go 0-60 in 2.3 seconds every day for the rest of your life. No other car can do this.
BTW 2, they lowered the price on Ludicrous because they are switching from a 2 motor car to a 3 motor car with independent motors on each rear wheel. Not only will this provide torque vectoring for the track, but it will be a lot faster 0-60 and 0-120. Maybe 2.1 seconds.
A stock Model 3 just did the quarter mile in 11.4 seconds. It’s getting faster, and it’s all through free software updates.
LOL it slowed down at 130 MPH. One free software update next month and it will get the 1 car length back in the 1/2 mile.

Just wrecked a C63S on the same stretch of freeway just as bad as the P3D. Best bang for the buck right now is the TT-RS / RS3, upgrade those turbos you’re in modern hyper car territory running 9s shitting on all tesla’s made today, and looks 9999 times better than a P3D.

The 2.5 motor is incredible. As mentioned above and I didn’t want to argue with west as it became clear he didn’t know what he was talking about from a mechanical / electronic stand point. But the electronic cars are impressive there is room to grow but your very limited today and I think for a while. As someone who dosen’t just blindly love any kind of car you tend to really think things through.
Now with 10 speed transmissions better manufacturing tech and precision even a typical blaa car of today is better than some sports cars of 30 or even 25 years ago.
Even if Tesla makes a 9 second car. Ok thats great but again its not something that isn’t already achievable if you want to do that to your mustang RS3 or standard sports car.

Again, nearly every consumer is fine with winning every 0-120MPH race and having 1 millisecond reaction time launches. Very few people need that 1/2 mile time.
