Believe me, so do I. It’s been over 10 months now. When I first got into this I figured those 2 year builds were done BY the owner in his garage in his spare time. I would have gone with an E55 AMG had I seen this long of a wait ahead.
Thank you. If I’m really lucky, we’ll get to log the car early this week. At that point, I think we’ll have a week of tuning back and forth before I can take the car home and start driving it around with a GoPro3 and PBox or whatever the dick you call it.
I was looking online, looks like the Pbox can come with or without video. What does a Pbox video look like? Not sure if I have seen one, maybe I have and I just don’t know…
I think PBIR holds so many records b/c its open year around. Frequent visits allow for more runs resulting in… hopefully better and better runs via tuning, tires, overall setups and most importantly a better driver. It’s the only thing I can think of b/c temps and da do suck.
How many other tracks in the US hold a test and tune 2x per week by default and also host a bunch of private events throughout the year? Over the course of a year, it’s a lot of nights… Weather permitting.
The track is out west a bit, 20miles, so temps are about 5 degrees cooler than West Palm Beach or even Palm Beach Gardens but still not a game changer by any stretch.
Focus on running, then worry about your gadgets! Joking… Sort of… Looks like you could be running sooner then you might have thought. I saw one of Jspec’s techs the other day.
I get this funny feeling he’ll be done a little quicker than originally planned as well.

Oh and I agree with you. I haven’t purchased anything yet because if I do, the car will never be ready. That’s the way things work for me. If I buy a bunch of stuff and plan on having the car ready for it - something will go wrong. Getting the car back and WISHING I had the pBox and Hero3 will work much better.
Things are beginning to fall into place again. The exhaust manifolds have arrived, along with gaskets from ECS Tuning and a new 034 snub mount with cage from JHM. Onward and upward.
