Jfonz is tuning B8's now...

It was a bummer to get excited about the Solomotorsports E85 tune and then read this thread. I still don’t understand JFonz’s history and his exact link to Solo but bummer to have a cloud of doubt over them nonetheless.

why would you be excited abotu the tune in the first place? Just because it’s on the market?

no acceleration testing
no in-house test car for longevity testing (kinda key don’t you think?)

nothing but their in house dyno bullshit

I don’t get why anyone would trust these losers (not just solo…all of this podunk little piece of shit shops who can’t afford a used $30,000 5 year old Audi to test on)

this is so small time.

^^ that.

Because J-fonz’s J-fags

^^ that.

Here is a quick history.

Jfonz…started.stolen tunes then made changes still using stolen stuff. Had loads of upset customers changed his company name. Worked under a different name for a while nothing exciting came from that except Jfonz still working and associated with knock off criminals. He was part of the single turbo disaster b8 S4 that still is a laughing stock. After the second company went under he landed with solo. A shop that had a decent name. Solo has made the usual bs claims about the tune but 3 years after saying he had a tune for the B8 S4 and how it was so great basically nobody has it and it’s never been proven to be more then dyno talk.

That’s the short version.

E85 is a great fuel when and if you really need it. You have a bigger heat exchanger so that is helpful to you there. You have giac and apr that have proven tunes. And even more proven race gas tunes. There is no need to look else where and e85 isn’t the golden fuel in this situation. It’s a gimmick that company’s like solo use to try and stand out hoping someone like yourself will take a chance thinking there’s a better tune…it’s not and there not.

Because J-fonz’s J-fags

Just seemed like someone was doing something new and innovative on our platform, not something I see everyday. Also, I am just generally excited about the possibility of an E85 tune. It has high availability in my area and seems to have some incredible cooling properties based on what I’ve read about it from other platforms.

I have heard rumors of an APR E85 tune as well, I’m hopeful that works out now.

Thanks for the quick run down, I’m not interested in relying on a company or individual with that sort of reputation. Still interested in E85 and will continue to research it but all duly noted. I enjoy learning the pros as well as the cons here.

Lol… Yeah, a real pioneer jfonz is… We remember all the other things you’ve pioneered… That twin charged car still running 12.2x’s? Better yet is it still running?

Is it me or is it only a few dumb b5guys and random guys that ever say dumb stuff like that… I almost feel like jfonz should have a big blinking sign over the shops head saying dosent get it. While the masses in the b8 S4 comunity actually go to the track and test these guys are still trying to use dyno sheets. The B8 owners for the most part are obviously not dumb enough to buy into that stuff. Thankfully

Who is Jfonz anyway? Is it a company that went bust or an individual?

Individual. Search judeisnotobscure on this forum

Will see what I find, thanks for the pointer.

Old sport just go get jconz tuend and tell us how it goes.

Not planning on it, just continuing my history lesson, thanks.
