This is awesome! Just wanted to say thanks and give major props to Keaton and the JHM crew for their hard work on crafting these A4 3.0 much needed enhancements.

As a fellow b6 3.0 owner I didnt think there would be any new performance enhancements to the 3.0 A4’s in the forseeable future since there have been so little thus far. Im super excited to get the downpipes, ECU and TCU, as well as exhaust for my 02 A4 3.0 quattro with auto triptronic trans, and unleash the beast that I know the factory setup has been hindering. Im curious does the lightweight flywheel in the works only apply to people with the manual trans or auto’s as well?

Cant wait to see these parts finished testing and be available to purchase, as I have recently hit 100k miles and done a recent timing belt/water pump service. Also replaced the plugs and coils, fuel filter, and had the transmission filter and fluid changed.

Im ready Keaton… Any chance for another update or ETA of when you guys will be releasing these parts in the works to those of us eager to get our hands on them?

So not trying to be pessimistic here. . . but what’s the deal on this already??? This thread started in Mid Dec and there had already been months of testing for the 3.0 at that time.

(keaton, you still haven’t added the videos in the original post you left blanks for btw. . . )

I figured the basic package (tune, catless dp’s, spacers) would have been a pretty easy setup since the tune is mostly knocked out, and the spacers are for sale. The DP’s are the only fabricated part that might be a bit of a pain (as the B6/7 still hasn’t seen a catless dp mass produced from JHM), but piggies are always an option. And I always assumed people were gonna go with the Magnaflow for the catback.

Did any of you independent guys every get a catless dp jig figured out like trexturk did? If any of y’all are in Chicago, I bet he’d be all over doing the same for the 3.0 guys if JHM is going to be releasing the tune as well.

Just curious. This project was steamrolling ahead, but I feel like a lot of people are just hanging on now and not much has been released as to where it goes from here. Are there any known hangups (ecu box codes? TCU tunes? Various DP?). Just want to see the “Revolution” continue across all the platforms, and too much great work has been accomplished for this to just be on the sidelines.

Yea… I know I haven’t been active much, just checking the forums for updates and commenting on random sh*t, but I haven’t heard anything NEW in ages. ECU and TCU tune are out and they work great, as myself and other people have them. But as far as any aftermarket hardware from JHM we haven’t seen anything in a long time.

ECU and TCU tunes are out already? Not seeing them on the JHM website for 3.0’s… Where did you get yours from Meistah?

I hope this project hasnt been put on the backburner either I got really excited seeing this thread and the great stuff being done for the 3.0 community. Would love to see the videos of Keatons finished tuned car and be able to purchase these well tested and tuned parts.

Its still on and there selling the 3.0 stuff chip wise. I Think you just have to contact them.

I got them as part of the beta testing program, they are probably available if you ask nicely though.

As far as hardware, it’s pretty much all made. I won’t go into details but it’s all been fabricated, just undergoing JHM-style testing, which usually takes a long time and ensures that its the best it can be, and won’t harm your car in any way. (although how long does it take to test downpipes?!?!?!)

Seeing as to how Keaton actually owns a 3.0 now, I know they didnt forget about it. I am assuming all the testing is done, based on that fact alone… just not sure how much of a delay there will be to release it. Most of my money is tied up in other things for the next couple months so I’m in no huge rush myself, lol.

What did Trexturk do to his DP’s? Im in the Chicago area and have been following this thread and every thread on AZ for the 3.0. Im really interested to see where things go as far as development for the 3.0, but as many are starting to wonder, is this just something thats been put on the backburner?
Ive been waiting to order my exhaust in anticipation for the DP for JHM so I cant wait for these to be available for sale :slight_smile:

I’m done holding my breath about it. I’ve had so much hype about it up until recently. I was hoping to have at least the DPs on around November. On top of that I have a LARGE vacuum leak and can’t find it. Along with my persistent cat codes… On top of all that 1.8 guys are relentless with shit talk about how we are going no where. Just getting old.

I’ve always gotten the impression that if you want something from JHM all you need to do is call them up and order it. As far as I know there are quite a few performance parts that have been finished being made. They may not be under mass production but I personally could care less about that. Personally, I think JHM has a good enough reputation that no matter if its being mass produced or not if they are willing to sell it then I’m willing to buy it. My only problem is after my USP work and wheels and maintenence, i’m broke!

So if anyone is actually ready to purchase something right now, I would call JHM or email and tell them you want to buy whatever it is that you want, DP’s, tune, LWFW, clutch, spacers… and lets see what happens and post it up for everyone else to see if you get what you want. Just an idea tho but i’m willing to bet JHM will sell anyone what you want, all you have to do is ask. Anyways thats my 2 cents, I could be wrong.

last I heard was that they were putting the final touches on the DP’s, but pricing had not been worked out yet.

considering the cars that count has had in the past I doubt that he will leave his 3.0 just tuned…

From what Ive read on JHM they make sure to take there time before they set anything out to sell. I know it can be frustrating having to wait. what is more frustrating is not waiting and having something that isn’t going to fit or work.

True… It’s just hard to see when you know how far they were with product development a couple months ago. Ohh well, maybe by the time it’s all released I’ll actually have money to pay for it :stuck_out_tongue:

Good news for everyone who wants/needs CATS and or the combination of CATS and downpipes.

LaBree has made changes to the exhaust I got and I am going to have them back in about 2 weeks.
He moved the flexpipe closer to the CATS by an inch and extended the pipe to make the flex pipe
sit lower so there should not be a problem with his setup on the 3.0L Manual.
If anyone remembers from my other posts the flexpipe hits the trans support.
All of that should be no problem now.

They also say if you want 2.5 and no CATS they will do it for you.

Just reread through this thread (slow day at work) thought I’d bring it back up for some of the newer guys to read. And maybe JHM will see how long ago it was since we last had an update :stuck_out_tongue:

Also went through my first PM’s back and forth with the calibrator about all the ideas we had in the beginning… Good times! It all just makes me want to hang onto this car and see what it will do when all the hardware is out.

Ahhh this was such an awesome thread back in DECEMBER 2011…glad you brought it up from the dead, it would be great to get some more updates and more people enthusiastic about this platform. It feels like some of the original 3.0 guys who got involved in this program are kind of loosing sight of the goal. Your looking at a new car, zingo is getting the shits with his. havent heard from motorsports or Shawn Hornett.

The only update that I have is my computers are finnaly finished after CV had much trouble with them. Cant wait to get my car back up and running and getting some more information about our cars out there.
