this is my new favourite thread! love the box you did there! so looking forward to seeing this complete, cant wait to compare, I have dru at jhm putting me together a package right now. I really really want an intercooler though. I may just do some experimenting and see if I can get one in there somewhere. Im pretty sure i can.
JHM has an Intercooler for the stage 2 setup. Why not just wait for that. By next summer that will be for sale…and if you’re getting supercharger then, you’re set.
If you’re getting one sooner, we get a free Intercooler here starting in a month or so. Canadian Winter.

When I was speaking with dru he said they aren’t doing a stage 1 2 3 just one kit for the rs4. I will email him right now and ask. If that’s the case I will wait. I wanted to do it over the winter and be at the track in march though.
Right now, there is only one option available (stage 1). There will most definitely be a stage 2 option and we will cross the bridge of stage 3 when the time comes.
What are the differences between stage 1 and 2. Is it just intercooled?
There are several differences from stage 1, with intercooling being one of them. Smaller pulley sizing, different tuning, fueling, etc…
Ya that’s what dru just said too. Stage 2 will utilize all the parts of stage 1 so when it does come available it will just be an upgrade for us satge 1 guys.

Look at it this way. One of the best features of the JHM kit is the upgradability. You can go with the kit available now and once the higher stage testing is finished you can upgrade…if your man enough.

I’m taking the info I’m given directly from jhm. They never mentioned a word about a stage 2 to me. First I heard of it was a few posts up from saki. Anyhoo all straightened out on my end, quotes complete, I will probably do my own intercooler and then just get the extra stage 2 parts when they come out. Thanks to all for being patient with my ignorance.
Euro does have a RS4, so it’s pretty appropriate, even to other RS4 owners. I did get a chuckle though euro.

I was just messing with you Badtoyz. You’re excited to get more power and there isn’t anything wrong with that, I’d love to place a $12k or so order with JHM tomorrow, but that isn’t at the top of my “adult” priorities. Sometimes JHM likes to keep an ace in the hole though, they can’t tell everyone what they are working on behind the scenes.
I was considering shipping the RS4 out for the install, picking it up for a driving vacation through National Parks in the West, and then having it shipped back.
Maybe next year.
Actually I am (engaged) and I have 3 kids I just make more monry than u lol. The 2 things slowing me down are the price of the rock I put on my wife’s finger and the fact my secondary vehicle (03 a4) spontaneously combusted about a month ago so my primary vehicle is the rs atm. Yes I am committed. And honestly the price isn’t bad euro. It was 11500ish with the 5r clutch and pressure plate and the jhm trio for that price.
Btw that’s shipped to my doorstep up here in canada too eh lol.
Oh and a 900 dollar core charge for the ac lines that u get back once u ship them your old ones.
You should see if you can pick it up stateside. Or better yet get it installed stateside (unless you want to do it)
JHM does once a year trips to Detroit. Maybe they can squeeze in a SC install next time.
