lets talk weight reductions.

Edit: Two-times tapatalk strikes again.

+1…This…I was dealing with the same dudes before I changed my mind on wheel set up.

I like the wheels on high psis car just as much as the oem wheels. at a weight savings of 4lbs per corner I wouldn’t bother.

as for the tires ive decided on the Michelin pilot super sports. a 255/35/19 is 24lbs. ive never driven on these or know anyone that has them but I read a bunch of reviews on them and there was 2 that sold it for me, one guy was a supercharged mustang raving about how he can hook up now and the other was a C63 saying basically the same thing.

as for BMI I love bacon and beer and cooking way too much for that to change. im 6’2 240lbs and trust me when im driving anything I wish I was 100 pounds lighter. trying to be competitive in a 600cc class with guys a foot shorter and 100lbs lighter gets discouraging.

if I could find something I like in a 18-20lb range I will changem. mec summed it up when he said “Almost all of the superlight wheels look like they belong on japanese cars” for example I love MB battles but I would never ever pput them on an RS4.

a 265/30/19 R888 weighs 27 pounds.

Fuck jbones, 37 to 27 with 70lbs loss is amazing! That is the best achievement on here!

+1…Its an extremely difficult thing to do.

I really like these but theyre over 6k for a set, a 19x9 weighs in at around 19 pounds though.

Damn those are fucking HOT!!!

they also have an open lug design that they basically just machine the center down more and it takes another pound away from the wheel. the issue is there is no center cap for that rim so u have a hole in the center that doesn’t look the greatest.

the open lug wheel is 18.8lbs and the reg wheel in19.8

Now that’s nice!!

I wish they had those in an 18x8.5 as that was probably my favorite lightweight option. 17.8 lbs for 18x9s. Definitely awesome.

ya im thinkin im gonna pull the trigger on these in bronze with the Michelin pilot super sports.

If you’re going for summer tires that perform great in both dry and wet conditions, Michelin PSSs are definitely the best way to go. Great choice man.

They have a flush lock kit but it costs like $2k lol.

Not willing to get new rimz…ha! That is gonna be a nice setup for sure. Happy shopping.

these weights you’re quoting…what size and offset is that?

that’s for our cars 19x9 5x112 and I didn’t decide on an offset yet. they have hese in super deep concave with a super wide range of offsets so I can get them nice and flush without spacers and have even more weight savings.

lol ya I really like those, thanks for the link to forgeline. mind has been changed.

In all fairness, I mentioned forgestar. You stepped it up a couple notches. Happy to help spend others money, ha!

sorry ya youre right. I did go through all the forgestar wheels too but all the ones I liked were 25.5lbs still.

those are the forgeline GA1Rs that mdubz pointed me towards. theyre expensive but I likem. I just emailed forgeline and asked to point me towards a Canadian dealer.

im not sure if I should go with the open lug or not for the extra 1lb saving.

I personally like look of both. Really comes down to if you can live with no center cap. But I bet you can diy some caps to save the pound
