I’ve got to agree. I can’t even fathom the foundation for the idea. If I’m not mistaken this isn’t even an actual RS6 correct?
All it is is an S6 with an RS6 front bumper, front fenders, grill, RS6 badges and a bunch of rubber dolls from Despicable Me. LOL
The guy is taking quite a beating on AZ.
I think he’s convinced he actually now has an RS6 and he believes it’s ok to call it one because it’s a sedan…“a project car”
other car show geeks like flying tomatoes may be able to help you understand this disease that plagues them.
I think this is an ACTUAL disease; when one mimics something so much it believes its actually what its mimicking. Its like one that claims insanity by acting insane ONLY to become insane.
[QUOTE=Prtaick;9934778]As I recall, there were only 3 intercoolers that actually had weeping issues. They all came from one batch that had defects with the actual core. PES reached out to everyone who had the potentially faulty units. They were replaced, and there were no intercooler issues after that. PES uses one of the best core manufactures out there, but things happen.
I agree, he shouldn’t grind the welds more than they already are.
Keith,
I can tell by the shape of the core that it is one if the older units. I cant say for sure when it was made, but it is not the type that had the core defects. If its got 15k on it already, and you pressure test it I would imagine that you’re good to go. I have some of the new intercoolers in the shop if you were thinking about replacing it.
[wrench]If you want to have some real fun… I can design and manufacture you a new lid and larger intercooler assy… [wrench]
As for the sealing around the intercooler… Its ideal to have the silicone sealing the core, but if it was missing I don’t think it would cause any major issues. Like you mentioned, let it sit till it fully cures before running the engine. You’ll be fine.

Good old Patrick@PES revised.
Someone should report the post for ban evasion, clearly against Audizine’s rules by the vigor with which they pursue people for that.

INTERESTING! Thanks for the insight. I was wondering who this person was.
wow just read the thread.
First, that picture under the hood made me think it was a 16 year old Chinese girl’s car. I was surprised to find out it’s a Greek guy.
Second, this moron thinks that becuase he bought a bumper and an ECU tune, his S6 is now an RS6? Is he a fucking retard? He’s worse than the M318i losers.
Good to see about 10 guys are calling him out for being an idiot. I like how he’s calling everyone morons and idiots…meanwhil the motherfucker can barely spell to save his life, and is pretending he has an RS6.
Someone should show him the study guide that outlines the differences. Maybe he’ll be a little embarrassed.
I particularly liked the quote where he said 'this car has more RS6 parts on it than S6 parts
Hmmm…
RS6 parts - front bumper, grill, wheels…and badges.
S6 parts - everything else
The most important part is the engine. Does he have the RS6 engine? NOPE
Then the ZF transmission…does he have that? NOPE
How about the brakes? NOPE
Suspension? NOPE
Seats and interior? NOPE
What a fucktard.
Nice catch! I just added the info on the leaking R8 intercooler, in case he wasnt aware of that one
I am sure he will come up with some smart response

LOL i saw him at waterfest. I saw the car and said WTF RS6? Walked over and my buddies wife asked him. He said yeah its an RS6. She said i thought they werent sold and and avants. I then asked him if its an RS6 why does it say S6 on the seats and not have Euro seats? Then guy next to him said it was an S6 but now has all RS6 parts. We then proceeded to laugh and walk away.
Also, now i COULD be wrong but flying tomatoes did say the CF in the engine bay was an entire part and not just covers right?

It doesnt look like it to me. I felt a little odd putting my hands on someone else’s car like that but i wanted to look and see if it indeed was pieces or not.
I will say that he has the best looking RS4 ive ever seen. Dtoys comes in pretty high as well.
His car is basically just a lowered Misano Ti with some uglier-than-stock ADV wheels isn’t it? They do look good in that colour combo. ‘2000S4’ used to have a Misano non-ti a few years back. Bet he wishes he didn’t sell it.
I have to say I’m pretty bothered by this because the car was in our booth so more or less in our control. We had parts stolen from other cars, including the front emblem off of one girl’s car that works for us. Pretty crummy.
Anyways, I think I can answer this. The intake part is a CF cover. The Rain tray and side were full pieces.
lol, google FTW ---- Even with a spelling mistake.

[quote]The driver side cover and the rain tray are both full carbon pieces while the intake pieces are just overlays so that the intake flow isn’t disrupted.

I think I too can answer this…who gives a fuck about parts that hide under the hood?
