lulz on other forums (current, not classics)

I know everybody has probably seen 0000 V8’s track build over on AZ and how everybody is going crazy about how it’s the greatest thing to ever happen the the platform.

…that being said, what does everybody think about this

pretty much looked to me like an example of somebody’s first attempt at exhaust fabrication. The flow of the X-Pipe looked like a far cry from this photo

I was a bit surprised nobody had brought it up over on AZ yet

I think everyone is going crazy…because #1 it’s AZ, but #2 is because not a god damn thing has happened in the B6/B7 community in an eternity…no engine build talk or details…no stage 2 supercharger updates…nothing. I think he should actually bring his build thread here to get real input from a lot or guys with a great knowledge base.

I honestly don’t feel this is a lulz…He seems like a good guy that wants to build a straight track car…his welds aren’t perfect, and the design of the exhaust probably isn’t the best, but if he did it himself it was probably very cheap…allowing him to spend money elsewhere which he is definitely doing. The exhaust he built compared to the fast intentions in the other picture probably have very little difference in performance.

This guy PMed me when I made some engine build comments a while back, told me he already had a local machine shop lined up for a motor build, but didn’t really sound too knowledgable…he said it was easy. I kinda found it amusing considering I think he blew up some kind of VW 8V engine and I know of all the development and testing JHM is doing. I’ll put money down that this goes no where, unless he plans on using a different motor to swap in. He also compared the power the turbo is capable of to fucking EVOs…sorry but the 4G63s have nothing in common with a 4.2l BHF.

I agree, why don’t you ask him to come over here. He has the right mindset and motivation, might just need some guidance.

Don’t quote me but the mufflers will go where our gas tank would normally be. He has a fuel cell in the trunk compartment, I assume to meet requirements.

Agreed, at least someone is offering the solution through a vendor, regardless if it’s overpriced. I’ll bet he will sell a ton of them just because it’s not worth some peoples time to DIY them. Although he needs to change the pic, they look pretty homemade
