Lol the guy who had alleged problems with JHM did a 4.2 swap into an S4… I don’t think anyone even noticed he said that.
That was exactly my point, although maybe I didnt make it clear enough. The guy has NO experience with the 2000 A6 4.2, or even an A6. It is ridiculous.
Funny little story…
I am DEEP in a full home reno. What was supposed to be a few months, has expanded into a full house, two year project. I have had some good experiences with contractors, and some VERY bad ones. I heard a trick on the radio one day that a General Contractor uses to sort out his potential sub-contractors. He collects all their business cards when they meet. Those who dont have a card, or dont have an address and phone number on their card, are dismissed. If you can’t track someone down, you don’t want to do any business with them. People who want to let someone mess with their Audi should follow the same rules.
Time to break out the popcorn LOL
Lmao that’s pretty good life advice.
It’s true though. Let’s say he gets the JHM tune and something goes wrong. Great he has a shop who can deal with it and work on the problem. If something goes wrong with dungdilinger he’s going to end up spending a bunch of $$ trying to half ass it together.
I dont want to say anything bad about ddillenger, because he is a good guy, and has helped me out with a lot of stuff. But yeah, that is more or less the point.
It’s funny that he also wants to find out who wrote the JHM tune so he can just give him answers…Why not just ask him for a free tune also?
Ddilwanger may be a good guy…smart…and apparently loves hexadecimal, but he isn’t even in the same league as the guy whose tune he is discussing and trying to figure out. I would guess he is a tune hack/thief, and the dumbs referring to him is a buddy who he let’s play with his ECU…which will eventually blow up in his face. There are plenty of ways to hack shit and re-pin harnesses, but just as you know (V8A6) the true resolution to the problems is to get the JHM tune.
Plain and simple, the kid should listen to you, pay for the tune and enjoy his 6-speed swap instead of find work arounds and trust the “good” guys…especially the idiot that swapped a 4.2 into his B5S4, like that is a cheaper route??
I love these cheapskates who want to put the safety of their car on the line with these nobody wannabes who think they can tune.
That dillinger guy’s ethics are so bad, the guys on n e f even called him out for posting logins and passwords for stealing information.
Cutting corners with your car’s brain. Brilliant. These same idiots will spend $500 on ‘tints’ and another $2,000 on coil overs like it’s no big deal.
Agreed. The tuning is not the place to cut corners. That being said, I still think the JHM tune for the 2000 A6 4.2 6speed swap is a steal for the price. My feeling was always that JHM released it because I, and maybe one or two other guys really wanted it. At the price they sell it for, it definitely wasnt to rake in the big bucks. I see it as more of a favor that they did for the C5 4.2 community.
He is a piece of shit. He helped you with the intention of making a better name. So when he steals from people to resel it people will just remember that he helped not that he stole. Dishonest people offer time amd advice because there peoducts are stolen…they have tons of time. I saw his… ideas on what jhm did…im thinking he dosent know what he is looking at in the jhm tune he admits to stealing or looking atso he just puts some rrandom shit out there to look smart…smart people goto the people that kale amd figgure out how to tune and do this…like jhm…not the people that try to steal from the people that made it possible…there cheep asses are so stupid they are supplting stealing from the company that males the conversation possible to run…jhm figgured all this out…im sure there is more help these guys are going to need. … the basement stealers can only support as much as they stole…
The picture is becoming a a lot clearer now. Thanks for filling me in.
definitely needs to top off the bumper fluid ;D

guy has a hissy fit when people question his car fs thread
worst thread ever. One redeeming quality…this guy’s signature pic. I love these cars.
yeah thats a nice one, the B6 avus’s look good (a bit large). not sure how I feel about the painted front bumper lip (normally black). I’m torn on wether I want to color match the lowers on mine.
colour matched lowers are a must. MUST!
thats how I felt originally, but the more I look at S2s the more I like the black lowers

you know the platform’s membership is in trouble when one of the supposed smart guys makes incredibly fucking stupid statements like this…
[quote=NWS4guy]RS4 is a NA engine, and IMO a disrespect to the RS badge in this day and age. RS6 and GTR are both FI, which is what you need to get mucho power anymore, not at all surprised, Top Gear put the RS6 against the E63 wagon and chose the RS6 easily.

referring to the B8 RS4…you know, the slow wagon that beat Chris Harris’ REVO tune/intake/exhaust B8 S4.
I’m just amazed at how ignorant these people are about performance. In the same thread, someone said a stage 2 B8 will easily crush an Rs4. No fuckwad, it won’t. It just fucking won’t. Besides, with a tune on the RS4 (since we’re playing equal games here) and a decat, that RS4 will again crush the B8.
Hell the B7 RS4 with tune and exhaust has 4 different cars well down in the low 12s @ 112-113 on pump gas. The B8 RS4 is down there STOCK thanks to DSG. Imagine would it would do with another 30-40 hp.

I’ve been waiting months for this race to happen but still crickets… It would be an epic run and I would love to get a stock RS5 involved also!
RS5 should be ready to go soon. Think his car has appropriate mileage done now.
APR Stage 1 S6 is also down to come out. Same guy I ran at Poconos roll racing event. He lives in Staten Island I think. Spoke to him yesterday.
JHM RS4… he should be ready to go soon. Hopefully. :-\
^^^you mean the RS4 that you’ve been dodging?
