I like how he keeps rounding up his trap speeds and rounding down those of the APRtvs1320 S5 lol. Now he trapped 116 and the APR S5 trapped the same lol

APR’s best trap was 117 MPH. Auditurd’s best trap was 115.
APR went in +680 feet in Alabama. Auditurd went in -1209 feet of density in jersey lol.
APR backed it up with half a dozen other 116-117 passes. Auditurd went 113.

Best part is where he compares himself to a DSG. Problem there is he is comparing his driving to Tsivas, who admittedly is a horrendous driver (in his words, he shifts like a grandma). They had one PBOX run where he had a really quick shift from 3rd to 4th, and now he’s god’s gift to driving. It should be noted tha thte 3-4 is the easiest shift in the gearbox lol…and that when we review his timeslips, his numbers are just good, not great.

He’s cutting 1.79-1.82 60’ times. That’s what a basic stage 1 B8 S4 should be able to do with a good driver…let alone one with everything thrown at it.

My car is a good example.

  1. JHM tune $500 +$40 in shipping a cable around (or free if you borrow one from a local friend…a.k.a me who has one if anyone needs a tune flash)
  2. piggoies - $free if you DIY them (and it’s very easy)
  3. 2.5" catback exhaust = $750 to your door for a magnaflow is damn easy. I bought a Fast Intentions for $1300.

My car trapped 107 MPH with this setup. Stock B6/7 S4s trap around 100-102 at my track.
My car went 13.2 with this setup. Stock B6/7 S4s ET around 13.8-14.0 at my track.

I gained 6 to 8 tenths, and 5-7 MPH, for $1800 in mods. No I didn’t spend $7,000. No I didn’t improve dramatically as a driver. I bought good stuff that made me go fast. That’s not 15 whp. That’s about 30-40 WHP. That’s about 30-40 WTQ as well.

I went with the updated JHM tune with launch assist…and catless custom downpipes for $450…and went 12.99 @ 107.7. The day I did it, a stock B6 went 13.8 @ 102.

These guys just frankly don’t have a clue how well their own car responds to mods.

If some Audi S4 owners are pinching pennies, they may be owning the wrong kind of car. Can’t wait for their reaction when their AC compressor dies.

He also doesn’t get that because JHM dialed down their blower it makes it more beneficiary and safe for our 4.2 whereas the other blowers are maxing out their power hence upping the internals. I’m positive that part of the topic on 4.2 superchargers have been beaten to death, at least to my knowledge.
