I wouldn’t exactly call Prime’s car “loaded” He’s got 19’s that weigh the same as my OEM 18" wheeels, rotors are slightly lighter and the rest are all bolt on parts on pump 93 gas. He’s got high flow cats which have been dubbed as not working, a catback that is the same diameter as stock and the basic OTS Pulley and Tune for APR.
Prime’s car with Strat Intake, APR CPS, APR Stage 2, Milltek with HFC and some LW mods ran a 11.9@116.9MPH on pump 93 in +200 DA.
The APR RS4 with OEM Exhaust, OEM intake without a backseat (-60lbs), ceramic brakes and an upgraded DXD Racing Clutch ran a 11.8@117MPH on pump 93 in +744 DA.
The APR S5 with APR RSC Exhaust, APR Carbonio Intake and DXD Racing Clutch ran a 11.9@116.9MPH on pump 93 in +190DA.
The other RS4 that ran 11.8@119 was pretty well modified… That RS4 had a Full JHM Catless Exhaust, JHM Clutch and FW and the APR Blower obviously. That run was at 11.87@119MPH on pump 93 in unknown DA.
Why is it that in your comparison only the S5 and RS4 enjoy a gain in ET from a better DA but the S4 remains the same? Matter of fact the S5 ran in a better DA than Ron. The RS4 was slightly worse than both but in no means was it bad…
What exactly does quoting the Aviva RS4 have to do with an APR Stage 3 S4? You throw around RS4 numbers constantly but only list what you see as beneficial to your severely demented biased views… Are you trying to make a proportion between 1320 S4’s and RS4’s vs. bigger blower S4’s and RS4’s? If so how come the S4 and RS4 trap the same on pump with the 1320 but the S4 only traps 120 (your guess) compared to the RS4’s 126.7?
Just for reference…
Primetime has approx 7k in modifications in it including the Milltek Non-Res Catback, 034 HFC, APR CPS, APR Pulley, APR Tune, Strat Intake. His wheels are only slightly lighter than OEM and his rear brakes are LW JHM.
The APR S5 has approx 19k in modifications in it including the APR RSC Exhaust, APR Stage 3 Supercharger, APR Carbonio Intake and DXD Race clutch.
The APR RS4 has approx 16k in modifications in it including the APR Stage 3 Supercharger and DXD Race Clutch. I am not including the lighter brakes and no back seat as i would include those as “LW Mods”.
The Bolt-On APR RS4 has approx 21k in modifications in it including the APR Stage 3 Supercharger, JHM Clutch, JHM LW Flywheel, JHM Catless 2.75" Downpipes, JHM 2.75" Catback.
You seem to have a habit of leaving very expensive mods out when listing RS4 times and then including mods in the S4 mod lists that you yourself say make no difference. Such as the Milltek exhaust on primes that you quoted in the past as to doing nothing but now all of a sudden its a mod!! But then you fail to leave out a 3k exhaust for the S5 and RS4 along with no seats, ceramic brakes, upgraded clutches etc…
Re read Saki’s post. I took it as being complimentary towards the B8. Someone said lower than mid 11’s being a stretch for the B8 + 1740. Saki used existing known APR1320 data from the V8 Audi’s to say that maybe it’s possible for someone with Prime’s modlist. I.e. that B8+1740 could be a really good, quick car.
Definite case of overly defensive B8/.5 ownership here.
Exactly. Pete… Stop being such an insecure, overprotective little b8 loving bitch.
My point was simple and seen by everyone but you. I don’t think the 3.0 vs 4.2 gap is much at all when similar blowers are used. People are throwing around ‘oh the stage 3 b8 isn’t going to go much more than xx @ Xxx’ but I don’t buy it. I think it will run very similarly to the 4.2 rs4 with aviva since that comparison makes some sense with them using a tvs 1900 (well Into the 11s at 120s on pump.
There’s no room on his site for crybabys. Either man the fuck up or fuck off. You claim I hate the b8 or trash it online but reality is you are trying to make whatever I post fit that vision in your demented high school brain.
You already destroyed the other thread EXACTLY the same way… By taking what was a complimentary post about the b8, and turning into a fake rs4 vs b8 war. If you want to go to war with rs4 guys, go join quattroworld and post your bullshit in there. Or go troll the Az rs4 guys.
Now, go get a tissue to wipe your b8 tears. You look like a fucking moron.
I agree with saki…not sure the one post made sense. …when you realize that gearing and cfm are close there isn’t going to be much of a difference…
The difference between a na 4.2 or a na 3.0 is that bigger motors bring in more cfm…when you have a unit that suplys cfm the gains between the two motors will be the efficiency of the motors recieving the cfm…700cfm on a 3.0 and 700cfm on a 4.2 will yeald about the same hp…
So you got dillenger looking to send out copyrighted material, OP wanting a custom tune and Scotty trying to desperately sell a rebuilt auto trans and pimp his business
^basically. there is also one guy in there who has been consistently wrong about almost everything for years, the guy who said the apr tune would be the same as the jhm tune and gave the blown up pricing
Hello! That’s my thread BTW … I am slowly finding out that AZ is most useful for threads on how to install S-blades, lowering springs, RS badges and bumpin’ stereos. 8)
its fucking painful over there on AZ. You get a ton of guys that think they know everything and they know jacksquat. There have been a lot of great 4.2 stuff but most stmart people don’t post on AZ when they have anythign to share thats what AR is here for.
He gets mad because I tell him he can’t drive all of then time…lol But he being the HPDE guru thinks he is a driver because he has done track days in his old GTI…lol That’s pretty ridiculous if you ask me…just because he can listen to some other homo in the passenger seat tell him to steer and brake makes him a “driver.” He sucked at the drag strip and if you don’t have the coordination to go in a straight line…I doubt your skills get any better when your shifting/turning/braking.
Anyways, someone should give him this for a start…
