Is there any chance that you need to hook up the input from on of the sensors. There is a chance that there is noting signal wise getting to the unit.
I have everything hooked up correctly. All lines are definitely connected too. Nothing came loose while running the line. Here’s what the instructions show to do.

Granted that’s a different sensor, it’s still the same connections that need to be made for power.
I tried changing it to a different panel today and got some confusing results. 3 green lights just stayed on until I turned the car off and then it didn’t happen again.

I hooked it up to an independent 12v battery and it still wouldn’t work. Something has to be wrong with the sensor or gauge if you ask me.
It almost seems to be a gauge issue since its not displaying anything correctly
So apparently nothing is wrong except for the fact that I’m not using an 8v converter that didn’t come in the kit or wasn’t in the provided install instructions haha.
Why the hell would they have an 8V converter for a gauge that goes in a car. Better yet why don’t they just step down the voltage inside of the box (sensor module)…weird.
The sensor steps it down to 3v or something. It’s been around for a while whereas the gauge is brand new and requires 8v. I’m mostly surprised by the fact that this isn’t mentioned in the installation instructions for either the vac boost sensor or the gauge and I had to do all this trial and error and submit a support ticket to figure it out.
Made a quick video yesterday redlining 1st through 3rd. Conditions were:
DA was 5562 with a Relative Density of 84.71%
37 degrees Fahrenheit
5483 ft elevation (http://www.whatismyelevation.com/)
29.78 in. Hg barometric pressure
70% relative humidity
In another 6 weeks and I’ll have the pulley, diverter valve, and tune that takes the S4 from an 11.6 to an 11.1.
That sounds absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to see and hear more videos of the final result!
Great video! Keep the pic videos and reviews coming!
Thanks guys. Will do. I have a few things coming in this week so I should hopefully have more of everything soon.
jesus that’s just awesome, mdubz!
i want need this
Killer!
what’s going on with those gear changes?
Not sure. What do you mean? I’m definitely no pro at banging gears.
that might be it. Just seemed like the revs hit redline, then lilted, then ripped back up, then came down for hte next gear. Not sure if it was a hard rev limiter or what. Maybe you was double clutching like a trucka.
MMm… that sound though ;D
I’m assuming you mean the 1-2 shift. But yeah it sounds like I maybe let off the gas a little too much and let the clutch out too fast. I would say I definitely need some practice which I plan on getting once the tracks start opening up again. I’m yet to set foot on a drag strip or even race my car. I might put 2000 miles total on my car this year. Also, I know you were joking, but you can tell from my foot on the bottom of the video that I ain’t doublin’ no clutchin’. I also think the rev limiter kicks in around 7400/7500 but I’m not sure. CV told me there was a little more room with the built motor but wasn’t specific.
A couple great packages arrived today.

2 more and I’ll be ready for more wrenching time.
