MDUBZ Intro and B6 S4 Build Thread

Yeah I’ve been wanting to buy an impact for a while. This one is rated at 780ft-lbs.

My two batteries are dead after about 5 years

I got a dewalt cordless 12 piece set about 6 years ago. One of the best tool purchases I’ve ever made. To Euro’s point, the impact is by far the most used tool. Used to travel with me to AX events when I swapped out r-comps at the track.

We should make a great car tool thrash. I love mine. Dewalt has been good to me.

IR is the best brand for tools great pick. I almost want for my old driver to die. Just so I can get some new tools.

Done.

^ Real Perty!

Staggered? or just different offsets?

I’d just hate that you can’t really rotate them.

Spoke pattern looks great.

They’re actually just visually staggered. Same size and offset front and back, the fronts are just the flat faced style to accommodate the big brake kit and the rears are the deep concave style.

Nice custom touch. Although still doesnt solve rotation if rear face design doesn’t clear calipers. Nice looking wheel design, too.

I’m pretty much fucked as far as rotating the wheels which kinda sucks considering the car chews up front tires much faster than the rears. But with the kind of miles I’m putting on the car I’m not too worried.

Here’s a quick sneak peek for everybody since these aren’t going on for probably another month.

Looks good.

Your garage is too clean man. You need to work on your car some more.

Haha I wouldn’t say it’s clean.

Noticed you have black mirror caps and trim. Any chance of getting a full side shot with those wheels on? Been thinking of going with the all black theme myself, but I am not sure if the trim/mirror caps will be too much.

jesus don’t jinx his car!

p.s. is that really clean? We need to see your garage now. Got some pigs in it? Mine is tidy out of necessity. It’s too small so everything needs to be. Would like to do a floor. Do we have a garage thread?

Trust me the last thing that I want to do is jinx his car. If anything I want to be like him and have a built motor and stage 2 SC!

Maybe clean wasn’t the right word and I should have said organized. No, I don’t have pigs in my garage unless you count certain people as pigs. Come on you guys should know by now that I don’t have a garage and my lift is outside. Here take a look:

There is a garage thread here: http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=1247

I tried getting a good angle to get the whole side of the car in the shot but there wasn’t enough room. The glare I was getting from the sun was making it nearly impossible to get a good shot as my garage points west and it was the end of the day.

But what I can do for you is quickly mount the wheels for another quick shot and try and get the whole car in when the glare isn’t that bad. Unfortunately you’re going to need to wait until I pick up my subframes, control arms, and rear final drive from Avalon Motorsports and I get everything installed back in the car.

I’m actually liking the all black theme a lot,but my plan is to go satin white in a little bit.

Geez, 3 sets of RS4 wheels for Saki and 3 exhausts for Jimmy.

I’m liking that engine stand too Jimmy.

There are four catback exhausts in that pic. The other muffler is hiding behind the engine.

We made that stand for less than $100 with old used wood and it was worth it. Too bad that the 4.2 V8 looks just a little bit too wide to clear though the middle of the lift.

Those wheels look great… looking forward to seeing the finished product!
