My track day & Eurocode and Magnuson run 10.9 @ 124

Tunes…?

Ok, you only posted a time slip before so that is why I asked. Next time please post a link to the thread or better still the specific post like you did there, thanks.

Come on you guys work together a lot.

Next time if your comments are directed at danvon7 who posted the time slip, indicate that or better still quote his text instead of mine, thanks.

Don’t you know that you B8 guys are all the same. ::slight_smile:

I notice 034 are using LC and launching at 6000 rpm to hit that 11.8.

What is really weird is that the slip for their best run shows the Integra ran a 12.234 but on the video of their 11.8 pass the Integra has them by at least 2 lengths yet traps less and has higher et? Whats up with that? Slip leaves out RT so perhaps the Acura had the jump?

Apparently it was -400 DA, 104 octane, full interior, 19" peelers etc.

They actually said 5000, not 6k…and LC probably mean nothing considering the best 60’s to date were without any LC.

They had a weird comment about their tires, but maybe they are just poking fun at our drag radial discussions on AR.

Yes, they probably waited for the green to drop before launching. You don’t care about R/T when you are trying to set a record. So the comparison next to the Integra doesn’t mean much.

I’m not sure a balls to the walls 104 tune on OEM pulley/parts is really that great. What does it really mean?

I think he was just trying to figure out the disparity. The reaction time is on the slip and shows 034 leaving ~.8 sec later.

is this existential personal thoughts, or is there actually a statement or question in there somewhere?

There is a typo there, It was supposed to say " leaving out the RT", It just looks like the Integra was a lot faster, I guess it is all in the RT difference.

The point in regards to the LC was in terms of 034’s success with it. (ES was right it was 5000 rpm)034 somehow managed a great time and good 60’ using LC which is the most surprising aspect as it has been stated numerous times here and elsewhere that LC actually messes up your run.

Just thinking about the occurrence of two separate companies running damn quick beta tests, best in their class of modification level, occurring weeks apart.

Coincidence?

Lol

I’d say what’s the point of pushing stage I, maybe with ridiculous timing requests, when they can do better on stage II+ pump.

Exactly

good to see someone speaks swagrish

oh, and I don’t think JHM would tune a car for 034, and let 034 jump up and down and blast beta times all over the place.

unless they were in cahoots because JHM didn’t want to offend APR so they’re letting 034 do the B8 stuff. That would be a funny conspiracy theory. But it’s just a joke.

Anyway, reality is APR and GIAC have literally never been the fastest at tuning anything, ever unless it was because they were first.

Generally the cycle is

APR/GIAC launch tunes
people buy them
APR/GIAC improve a little
people still buy them
JHM writes a tune and kills APR/GIAC to a shocking degree
APR/GIAC move on to next platform (B9 anyone?)

That’s somewhat debatable

disprove please

B5 S4? check
C5 A6? check
B6 S4? check
B7 A4? check
B7 S4? check
B7 RS4? check
B8 S5? check
B8 S4? tbd but looking good so far

That’s every Audi they’ve touched. Want to mention the C5 A6 2.8? Sure, they didn’t win that battle. Of course they didn’t fight it either.

B6 A4 3.0L as well.

It sounds like the C6 s6 and D3 S8 are going to be added to that list too.

Instead of me disproving, you should prove it. That’s a long list and i’m just saying, as someone who used to be involved in the scene, that sounds quite subjective

In other words “I don’t know what you’re talking about even though the other posters in this thread do (and anyone who has been on audi forums for the past few years) so please cater to me, the lowest denominator knowledge wise”.

Do your own homework if you’re new to the scene. Don’t expect everyone else to do it for you. In fact you’re the one who challnged what I posted…WITH ABSOLUTELY NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE FACTS. You said what I posted is debatable, then disappeared with no debate lol. Pretty funny.

Not to mention the fact that we have a 1/4 mile list with every one of these results being easily searchable and sortable. Get studying.

Look, I really don’t want to go down this road. I just don’t think “to a shocking degree” is a great way to put it.
