new clutch setup that looks promising

I know that homeskillet

its not always all about you

Ha, they should just get a dynapack, lol.

I practically passed by AWE 4 times when I went down there, I drove Vitaliy and co home Saturday night.

Shhhhh go fix your damn car and update your software already before I come kidnap ur car for a few weeks.

It’ll be shiny too lol

I’m getting two different stories from em right now… Just feel so disrespected after i was promised a pulley…

a free pulley?

A discounted one in exchange for me going down there and letting them install and dyno the car. He told me the minute AWE is ready for their final beta test that he would call me… This is going back 20 min lol with Austin… Will seems to have a different story…

Lame. Go APR. Do AWE/GIAC even have their own cars?

Awe sold their shop car with the stage II pulley on it…

they do have a FL s5 tho with the 3.0t

Yes that car is in Buffalo having bypass/cold weather issues. Hope they resolve. Pete having the bypass issue on his stage 1 also.

Holy shit that car is that close to me? Get him on here or AZ, he should come out to TMP in the spring. I always fly out of Buffalo too…probably there at least once a month for various reasons.

It’s manual tranny too.

Guys, this is not a conspiracy.

Simple timeline below:

All development for the pulley and software was done on our in house 2010 S4 6sp and on GIAC’s in house DSG car through most of 2012.

Once we completed development, we went to production phase. Meanwhile, while there were several delays during manufacturing of our first batch of pulleys, due to some new subs we were using for coatings, GIAC continued software tweaking on their in house car.

Meanwhile, we sold our S4 and picked up a B8.5 S5.

By the time the delayed pulley batch was ready for market, GIAC fine-tuned their tune had came up with a new file with a few more benefits.

Now that we are ready to release, we need to gather new dyno sheets for this new file on 93 octane. Best foot forward for marketing purposes and all.

Auditude: not only did we lock down a local 6sp volunteer before you called, we also want to hold off on bringing you in due to the mix of aftermarket parts you have on there. The last thing we need at this point is the release getting derailed because of the unique hardware status of your car. It is not representative of the mass market at this time, and may cause us to unnecessarily delay release if special tuning is found to be needed.

No worries, we’ll get you in here soon, you’re ultimately the poster boy user every company wants pimping their products.

Questions? Ask away (and I’ll do my best to respond in a timely manner. In the middle of some development projects today).

Spoke to Austin and he was nothing but nice to try and make it right… Still getting a mixed signal from Will and he admitted the mis-communication… We will see what happens…

Might have to make the switch to APR. Tired of waiting at this point…

Welcome to the forum Todd! Still working on the HFC’s or not worth it?

See that’s not the information i got though. I was told that i would be the first one to be tested when you guys are ready. Austin was more than clear on the mods on my car and we spoke about them time and time again. That’s just not the information i was given. Regardless it is what it is at this point…

We did extensive, extensive prototyping and dyno testing using a heavy duty 200 cell HJS cat that we also use in our Porsche turbo exhaust systems. Large body, specifically made for close coupling.

We saw zero gains. Over and over and over.

We did not see the point of releasing a mod that made more noise, but no more power.

Trust me, I realize that now, but I really wish he had not made that promise to you before conferring with us. I am very sorry for that mis-communication.

If you don’t jump ship and go to APR, our doors are still open to you, once we have cleared the current combo for release.

We’re just trying to keep the variables down as we are in the 11th hour here.

Thanks for the honesty…
