Official Dyno Results Thread

Ok B5 guys, here is a spot to post up your dyno sheets and videos.

I’ll get us started with Boki and his rs6’ed e85 monster. Good friend of mine.

Very nice power band…Josh do you know the CF that 034 is using on the dyno? I ask this becouse it seems that this dyno is calibrated to read like a dynojet.

Cheers.

it’s a weird dyno at 034.

There was a 770 car on there that made about 490 whp. I know this because JHM dyno’d there around the same time with their supercharged B6 S4 (and made 490 whp also). The B6 numbers are right on the money for where that car should have been (it was a tune designed to blow the motor, and they accomplished this mission lol)…but the Tial 770 cars tend to dyno much higher. Maybe it was a Tial car on pump (the B6 was on pump)

Anyway, another B6 with a VF supercharger dynod 402 whp there…then went back and dyno 375 whp…then raced JHM’s B6 with just tune/exhaust/bolt ons (no supercharger, no nitrous) that had dyno’d 320 whp…but the JHM car was only 1/2 a car length down from 15 to 120 mph with both drivers being awesome. When the JHM car turned on the nitrous (which dyno’d 400 whp) it absolutely MURDERED the VF SC car.

So it has the potential to produce odd numbers relative to other dynos. Of course that could just mean that

a) VF and PES supercharged B6/7 S4s dyno well but suck real world
b) tial cars dyno well at EPL and AMD on meth but not so well on pump at 034
c) JHM cars dyno way less than their capabilities

Yeah i don’t know much about the 034 dyno. Just what I read on the interweb.

its inline from what I have see from other cars similar setups on dynojets…

It would be interesting to know the CF in that dyno… I can be change very éasy to read anything you want…

This is what im refering to.

that’s for showing crank hp or bhp…that’s not the correction factor…that’s the drivetrain loss % that the dyno op would input in order to output a crank hp/bhp chart

everyone here talks in wheel horsepower, not crank or bhp. In the uk/eur they tend to focus on crank.

so…the correction factor as you called it…or drivetrain loss guestimation as we call it, was zero%

Sakimano

Its wheel hp , what its need to know its how 034 did calibrate their dyno … with % of drive line and driveline power loss …I own this very same dyno.

Regards

I find that strange…doesn’t the dyno measure the power the car puts out, and reflect that net power as wheel hp?

I can’t see you needing to input a drivetrain loss (which is what that little window you posted appears to contain) for a WHP reading…it’s reading WHP!

Maybe I’m just reading it wrong.

Josh sorry for the big off topic.

sexican, u got a top end monster congrats!

Lol that is a stage 3 car in limp mode
I only know that cause i tuned it at high altitude.

I love it. I’m more of a freeway racer than a track driver!

I’d wish I was/had a more well rounded car, but at this point with my weak link (Clutch) i can’t be at what I want to be at…

;D :stuck_out_tongue:
