I just did this over the weekend. I don’t know if the process is different for an RS bumper compared to the DTM bumper. I turned the wheel completely to access the fender liner, torx-25 to remove the two screws and then reach in there and finagle the reflectors and pop them out. I replaced with the ECS set. I think these go well with darker colors and in my case dolphin grey. I like it so I’m considering doing the rears. I haven’t confirmed if its the same size. I’m thinking so.
OP! Love the car and good luck! I would be tempted if I was seriously looking.
Haha! You’ll be pleasantly surprised how much they cost. You need to reach in and fiddle with the little brackets on the reflectors. You’ll know where they are and what needs to be done when you have the new ones. I imagine you could also have them painted which is the cleanest look. http://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-B7_S4--V8/Lighting/Side_Markers/
I bought the $3 sidemarkers and will sand, prime, and paint them mugello blue. Ends up a bit more costly with paint ($25+$10 shipping) and adhesion promoter/primer ($8 shipped) but I can use those other items in the future for other projects. Finally, I was pretty sure but not 100% that ECS sells the sidemarkers as a set so I went ahead and ordered 2. If I end up getting 2 sets, maybe I will prepare both as Mugello Blue and resell a set to recoup my costs!
But, I can use the paint and adhesion promoter for other projects. And, I can probably sell the extra set of sidemarkers for after I paint them Mugello Blue.
