People were asking for a sound clip....

Barely legal, like Snoop D O Double G and his Girls Gone Wild!

I did 93dB at 4k and you did 94dB at 4k! Difference? Resonators (same mufflers)

Boravr the JHM red rs in the vid!!! Whewww mean as fuck!!! I need more goodies!!!

And as far as loud goes… I live in the country so it don’t matter. My neighbor has a full built 8 second car that he works on on the weekends and wakes me up so me coming and going is no issue!!

For reference im running AWE non res with fully gutted OEM dp’s courtesy of Paul.

mmmmm sebring muffler the bestest best sound ever!!! Best choice for both these exhaust lines for sure!

Didn’t you say in another thread one of the reasons you didn’t buy the jhm exhaust is because you didn’t like the sound?

That’s ‘2000S4’, George from Toronto. His brother drives it now. Car ran 12.28 @ 112.45 that day, when my Rs4 ran 13.1 @ 106 same track, same day. The first in car race is filmed from my car. You can see he gets a little head start, but flies away all the way down the track.

If you bought one of Mick’s calenders, I believe that car is Miss September.

He has since changed that position lol.

Which imo, sounded great on the vid posted of you at a track day event. Sounded mean. I now own George’s (red RS4 in the vid Bora posted) full JHM 2.75" exhaust and am looking forward to the day I get to install it.

I’ll have an exhaust on my car before you I bet.

You may indeed! ;D

I’m waiting until 73K miles & change or July 2013…I’ll hit the mielage first, I’m at 65,XXX now. The whole extended warranty thing as I’ve explained previously.

If you do exhaust, does that mean you will tuned as well? Or are you going spacers for a time period and then tune?

Trust me I’m dying over here - I have the intake spacers sitting in my garage and the full exhaust and the JHM flash cable…about to order the Stage IV clutch & lwfw and pick up the lwcp from Dan if he still has it. (My oem clutch is near the end of it’s life span). I already have the lw rotors on all four corners so once I hit the mileage I’ll be tuned, full exhaust, lw everything JHM etc. I’ll be set for a while, I think.

lol - the calendar does have some great shots in it.

Wait why is it not on yet… i thought you were fixing that smoke fiacso and then it was going on?

sounds like he wants to preserve his warranty.

exhaust shouldn’t be an issue. Tuning is another story thanks to TD1 (although I haven’t heard any B7 owners mentioning TD1)

I have no exhaust NY…I was just joking that I probably will before you. I also have 2 years of extended warranty that I don’t think I want to jeopardize. We’ll see how it goes.

Fixed the smoke fiasco - got the new motor etc. All is good. I had to change my original plan due to how the dealer stepped in and helped me get the new motor. Out of respect for them, I’m choosing to wait until the ext warranty period is up. I can PM you the details, I’ve stated them before but don’t want to repeat it here.

No need… sounds good! from everything im reading it will DEF be worth the wait!!

Can i ask what TD1 is? i have seen this in someones sig and was trying to figure out what it meant…

I havent tried GOOGLE…! ha

Its a new code that will show up on every work order for a particular vehicle that has been flagged for having a tuned ecu. So if you have a B8 S4 with an APR tune for example, the minute your car gets scanned at the dealership, it would be flagged as TD1. Allegedly, potentially, preventing you from receiving warranty work.

I have a slight incline on my driveway and I have about 2-5" of clearance with passenger side mirror when pulling in…sometimes it takes a little bit of clutch “dancing” if you will. It is like I’m flooring it, but at those low RPMs it can kind of rumble. Not a bad thing, just kind of loud. The JHM exhaust on Mick’s car (not to mention the challenge of the LWFW and Stage whatever clutch) is loud down low. The driveway thing was just an example of one reason I wouldn’t want one that loud…in general, it is just too loud for me. Personal preference.

Thanks! Funny, when I hear “AR” I tend to think of a gun. Not because I’m a gun guy, but because one of the categories at my work is focused on the tactical consumer…so AR15s are common talk around the office.
