White Coat CeremonyTo celebrate the achievements of the second-year class, Berkeley Optometry hosts the “White Coat Ceremony” at the end of the Summer Clinic.
This year’s ceremony will take place on Monday, August 24, 2015, 1:30pm, at Wheeler Auditorium. Reception to follow on Minor Plaza.
As a result of the enhanced second-year curriculum, which provides our students with significant patient-care experience, they pass a significant milestone to become third-year students and move into clinic.
Dean John Flanagan and fellow Associate Deans are unanimous in their belief that this passage deserves to be acknowledged officially. They therefore established a “White Coat Ceremony” as the proper way to do it.
The celebration — which is attended by family and friends, faculty, staff, and fellow students in the other classes — is highlighted by the presentation of a special white clinic jacket to each student and by a group recitation of the Berkeley Optometric Oath.

I’d just like to go out and visit him…maybe stop at JHM. I missed his HS graduation…because Iraq. I also missed his college graduation…because Iraq.
I’ll be going to Quattro De Mayo. Went last year and had a blast, although I went with my GF who kept getting motion sickness, so we stuck to the less exciting drives that were still fun. This year I’m going on my own… well, sharing a room with another forum member. Can’t wait, going to hit all the exciting drives. This is the only Audi/VW that I go out of my way to try and attend. Definitely going to try to make it every year. Besides us, last year there were the mini cooppers and it was also Zday (Nissan, Infinity). Cops don’t give you trouble for speeding, there are so many sharp turns that you really don’t get and opportunity to speed before you need to brake hard again. They do care about if you cross the yellow divider line, so just need to be careful there.
I’m not sure if I’m leaving on Tuesday or Wednesday. I wanted to take the scenic route down and take Blue ridge parkway down most of the way, with frequent stops for pics.
After the event, I plan to leave my car at my cousins place in SC and fly back to NY for a week, then come back and drive to SOWO after that. Already booked rooms through for both weekends.
Lol^^ Thanks for the greetings guys, and your right. I probably should have gone S5 because I love to mod and can do very little in terms of mods with the RS. Still that V8 Rumble, carbon ceramic brakes and just the overall feel of an RS is amazing. I was hoping APR would release their SC kit, but doesn’t look likely at this point. After this I’ll probably be looking at a baby hauler so maybe SQ5. But, I’ll enjoy till that day comes!
what is most interesting is the resurgence of the RS5 in the eyes of car reviewers. Used to get glossed over but they for whatever reason are starting to be thought more highly of now.
The market is now the RCF, the RS5 and the M4 for a sporty coupe.
M4 has a shit sounding V6 engine and is tail happy as shit with boost hitting, so it’s not everyone’s favourite
RCF is just frigging hideous.
RS5 does everything nicely.
EVO did a review recently and it was a little damp, and man did they appreciate the RS5 grip.
The orange one we have had a cream colored interior. We had a silver one in and it looked good with all the body lines, but I still don’t think you are being too hard on it.
Shoneseb, ill update and put on the list. Glad to seeing you will make it again this year. I missed last year from my unfortunate accident on the way down.
You should come with us on our rogue run. It will be faster and more driving then the regular groups that go out.
I’m soo looking forward to it! Read through your build thread, sad that you couldn’t make it down. Now I remember the thread you had up for Quattro on the zine, and how you unfortunately couldn’t make it. When on Wed do you plan on going down? I live by douglaston so can’t be far from you.
First off, I hope you all can make it.
Second, the tail drive is always the Friday day as it least crowded.
Third, COPS on high alert NEVER seen more then one and I have been there 4 times.
Fourth, The speed limit usually exceeds your limit.
Fifth, Its all about hanging with TRUE AUDI enthusiatis not people that just but and Audi. I have met the greatest people there. One I met even drove 6.5 hrs to help me replace a rear main seal in my wifes A5/
The meet resort is booked, but there is Holiday Inn right down the road.
Im in Queens so your about 15 mins from me. i recently made a trip to Detroit ( 9 1/2 hours away). I left at noon and was quite pleased that there was ZERO traffic during that time. Plus its mostly day driving. For this trip i would like to leave around 9am to 10am. Most morning traffic will be gone and im pretty sure my route has me going through the blue ridge pkwy. Im not sure if i wanna stop ALOT though (i know you mentioned that). We have time to plan.
