Ran a Stage III B5 s4 today

same for same

Tune, exhaust, dowbpipe/cat mods etc.

Bolt ons.

It’s true. I started a thread on quattrofail b5 and on AZ asking for stage one or two b5 beating a b6/7 of any sort. Nobody ever posted anything. I posted about twelve race videos showing the 4.2 winning

Back in the day everyone would say a stage one or two b5 will kill any b6. I wanted to have the b5 community show themselves that this was just wrong. It worked to an extent because I literally hear nobody spewing that misinformation anymore.

Well sorted stage three though? Trouble for any all motor b6/7. Fortunately for the b6/7 guys most b5 stage three cars are not complete…So there’s still a chance it’ll be close.

K04, good tune, good catless downpipes , good catback, good intercooler, and then good tuning and fuelling, and the all motor b6/7 is fucked lol.

Ls3…dam bro you know what im talking abkut then… the intake on the ls motors is huge even the ports are killer biger then the 4.2. Adding headers no cats and a jhm intake wakes up the 4.2. The multi stage intake is great but choaks the car up top… the ls cars were like the b5 they are strong mph cars the 4.2 s4 is a et car…

Dont we have a thread here with all the videos. …of those races

Don’t worry, I won’t let my car be another incomplete, poorly running stage 3. I just take things one step at a time so that I don’t hurt my bank account too much. I just can’t wait to graduate so I can get the rest of my parts on and hit the track. Have a nice little three month break until its off to the real world. 65vetteC6 and I will get some more videos. Especially with no passenger or at least equal ones, and a better camera angle. We’ll get some different speeds and gears too. Maybe throw in some of my gen 5 cammed Camaro vs his C6Z for the gm fans.

No surprise here 4.2L is piss slow in n/a form

But who says because there are plenty of cheap garbage parts, those need to be put on the build list?

The smart ones like you dont…even if you do use shit parts its still expensive

It is. I envy those that have far more DIY skills than me. Would make things so much more reasonable. Then I look at so many of these backyard builds and think that was money well spent on my part.

Mine was home built and I used some Chinese parts, but I didn’t cheap out with the little things. I wouldn’t call it a backyard build (I know the comment wasn’t directed at me)

Yep. True DIY skills are where its at.

That your garage or your buddies? Wish I had a 2 post lift. DIY is half the reason to own cars like these IMO. Makes it a little more fun, if you have the time.

The garage is owned by a friend of my dad. He let’s me work on our cars there but gives me a two day limit lol. Which is why we were so rushed to do my engine pull. Although if you don’t give yourself deadlines, shit rarely gets done.

Alex, I think we need a rematch of this soon and I’ll run from a dig as one person said the 4.2 would whoop me there

Get that shit on video

I don’t think I saw anyone in this entire thread say race you from a dig.

it will. do a 1st gear roll… having a 13 year old car that you built with china parts that cost nothing with caution to the wind Im sure your willing to rev the piss out of it and clutch drop it at 8k if you want. raceing from a dead stop isn’t going to come down to much other then who will beat on there car enough to launch hard…I don’t see many B6 or B7 owners doing that. Race in 1st gear off a roll not at 60 when the Na car is out of breath.

Damn! I need a ride in that thing, unfortunately I got a offer I couldn’t refuse and sold the S4. Half ass looking for a new car right now.

you sold it? wow. Sounds like you got a great deal.

How do you get the 0-60 time in the gauge cluster? I’ve never seen that before.

My apologies, “5 mph” not from a dig.

But I’m curious as to how you think my car is a poor build? So I used some Chinese parts…

dp’s - don’t really need 3" ones so I took the logical choice and saved $800

Frankenturbos - have shown to perform well and have good reliability

Throw caution to the wind? Uh the build took place in a professional garage with 4 people who are more than competent. Every maintenance item that needed replaced was also done, upgraded oil lines, etc.

So if you go to the track I guess you just pussy foot around in your car and don’t actually launch it? What’s the point of building a car if you don’t enjoy it? I’ll launch my car and take it to 7k, if something breaks I’ll fix it the right way and upgrade so it doesn’t happen again.

I’ll race any b6/7 from 5 mph. Don’t care if I win or lose, but I’m going to enjoy my well built car.

So what was it again that I did to get your rude response?

Wow didn’t think you’d do that anytime soon. What are you looking for now? Just DD’ing the a4? I’m down in Wilmington now but I’ll prob be in Bethlehem in a couple weeks.
