Recent tests between GIAC stage 1 and APR stage 2 on our track -vag com and vbox

You guys are funny, struggling with the numbers…:-). So many flip flops too, some of you are now arguing against the 1/4 and for the 60-130!

I’m not offering any opinion other than I agree with 91. The numbers look weird, and Kai’s 60-130 is way faster than the 1/4 reflects.

Ps if that is called b8itis, then what are the symptoms of B7RS4itis? Need we say?..:slight_smile:

Saki gets so caught up with himself and his beliefs that he can not for one second, instead of jumping down people’s throats, actually try to think about it from someone elses perspective. as smart as he is, he really does a poor job at that. thats why ill just ignore him from now on because that long post of his towards me was pathetic. talk about someone that has to be the GUY.

back to what I was saying. prime or 81 vs Kai (no one else) would be an interesting race and would love to see the comparison then. not saying the b8 will beat it, I NEVER DID. just saying it might be closer than we think. and if anyone wants to complain that they cant shift as fast as a dsg equipped car, then that is your problem.

and to speculate further, imagine prime’s car had actual lightweight wheels and no cats (not sure of 81 and if he has test pipes or not) could actually do. the potential is there but this platform is still new and GIAC’s offerings are looking promising. if we can get GIAC and APR into an arms race, then we will all benefit from this

Pete actually ran him from 40 mph. Was close for a little then he said he took off in fourth and put a ton of cars on him. He said it was pretty bad.

Saki- Kai said he didn’t shift up top. Just 3rd to 4th up to 130

would love to see pete once the test pipes, cps and stage 2 go in. im not expecting miracles from him right now with just a giac stage1 tune and intake

I dunno - the m5 ran similar times to Kai, in summertime with worse DA and what does it run in quarter?

Kai’s quarter mile should be faster given his 0.5-0.6 sec shift speeds. Would we even question this if he ran an 11.3? That shift time adds up when u compare to a single shift for the vbox. He also most def brake boosted for the 60-130 time.

we know that is not the case. pt and 81’s traps are up there so it made me think about that 8.8 and prime’s old 60-130 and what he could possibly do NOW with a similar DA

91 I think the issue with using PT’s trap of 119mph and comparing it to his P-box 60-130 time is that a) it was done on two totally different days so who knows what, as you say, the DA impact would be and b) he was using a 104 tune file to run his 119mph trap which increased his trap speed over the 100 tune file by 2-3mph.

but 119 is 119, that is seriously quick. dont care what advatage his trans has, the car considering what it has done to it and what it weighs compared to the b5 makes some real nice power. very good to see

The guys on Saturday were complaining about conditions. That’s easy to see when a 500 hp Audi is cutting 2 second 60’ times.

Unfortunately my GoPro battery died when we started doing the 1/4 mile runs later in the afternoon therefore none of those are on video except one run (in the end againts a ESS Supercharged M3). Best 1/4 run of the day was a 12.0 @ 121MPH, 60’ times were very poor due to track conditions (1.9-2.0 all day), the car had mid 11’s in it for sure.
