what was your best mph last time and your best 60 ft?
1.82 60ft and a 105.82mph, I know I need more seat time, and I know I could get my shifts down quicker. I also am still down a LWFW and clutch, and headers, so thats a little more work on my engine comparatively. I just want to get as low as I can on stock clutch and stock headers. I mean you of all people know what I mean, your doing more with less with the RS4 platform now and putting up great numbers.
any idea when they might go back?

I think I should try and get a baseline 1/4 in before a CC (and some other routine maintenance). I was going to try last Friday but the dragstrip I happened to be near at the time is closed until like April 20 or something. Another dragstrip that is actually a little closer to my house is “free” (just pay the spectator fee) through Saturday. I am crazy busy at work but maybe I can sneak a few runs in on Friday night.
I would say totally do it. You’ll really enjoy it. I think we have a dragstrip tips thread here somewhere. Give it a good read over and make sure you cross all the t’s and dot the i’s. Show up with 1/8th tank of gas. Get all the extra weight/crap out of your car. Make sure you’re on the best 93 around. Just eliminate all of the variables.
Carbon clean should help with some of the top end, but if you look at the dynos of carboned cars vs. clean cars, it’s
a) not that huge a difference
b) mostly way at the top of each gear (where you aren’t going to be driving your RS4 at the strip…you should be shifting at about 7500 RPM)
So it’s not that detrimental. Surely hurting a bit, but not the end of the world as the naysayers will tell you. I had a guy accuse me of lying on a PM because my time was so good. He claims ‘I have driven a carboned up car and there’s no way it could runa 12.75’. The same moron then proceeded to say he doesn’t go to the dragstrip lol. So why should I listen to anything you say? I guess we’ll ignore him permanently 
I am not new to drag racing but haven’t done it in like 7+ years. And I’ve never gotten into the 12s…not to say that I will with my RS4 either. At least not yet.
I don’t remember the mph but my best times were as follows:
- 2000 Acura Integra Type R – 14.5 (catback exhaust)
- 1991 Toyota Mr2 Turbo – 13.3 (stock turbo at 18 psi, ECU tune, gutted cats, catback exhaust)
- 2002 ///M Coupe – 13.1 (stock)
- 2001 ///M3 – 13.2 (stock)
I enjoy doing quarters every now and then. Road courses are much more fun for me.
13.2 in an e46 is strong!
Only trick in the rs4 is launching. Launch at 3000 to 4000 rpms (no more). Start at 3000. Work up till you get to good 60 foot times. .
If you launch at like 5000+ you’ll either get boatloads of wheelspin, or grip and a dead clutch.

wheres bigbadgayrs4 on the list? My stock gti went faster than him hahaha. Oh well, it must be the tracks fault not his, the ¼ mile is bull shit anyway, if he cant grasp the concept of driving the car straight than he must be able to get the idea of corners down, right?

He claimed it ‘blew out the window’. Truth is the 13.6 was probably a 14.0. If you’re going to tell lies about being at the strip and losing timeslips, you’re not likely telling the truth about your times.

that actually happened to me last year. When I went 12.9 in my B7 S4 i scanned/photographed the slips and posted them. Then left them on the couch. My fucking dog (lab puppy) turned them into confetti. Fortunately I had scanned them and had video etc filmed by bangoman.
Went to a track rental today…I’ll post up a couple pics and time slips when I get home. I’m no longer stock as my mods are as follows : Jhm flywheel , clutch masters clutch, Jhm intake spacers, home made down pipes.

Best mph was 113.38 , mind you all this was done in 90+ south Florida heat! Lol
