I believe their 10.9 was pretty much full interior, when they gutted it they ran worse I believe. I will confirm though on AZ.

On the R8 times… struggling to see how “dad’s” car is trapping that much more “G8rR8’s” car, with a similar ET… I still think he sprayed 3rd gear on, but not a biggie…
he’s trapping what…5 mph more? 6? ET within 2 tenths? (that 11.18 run was 122.9 but g8rR8 also trapped 125 a couple of times

200 lbs of weight reduction including a pile of rotating mass reduced (wheels, windows, hood, no interior etc) not to mention g8rR8 also had too much fuel in the car
manual vs. DSG so less drivetrain loss for what that’s worth

So there can certainly be a 5-6 MPH difference. Dad’s R8 has probably $15,000 in mods in it vs. the basically stock R8 V10 plus.
