I’ll doem myself. Shouldn’t take me more than half a day. I’ll also do the clutch and SC myself. I have a but load of tools and lots of know how. I got the b5 perches, h&r springs and I’m using the b7 isolators and changing my 6mm spacers to 10mm.
So I went to route 66 in Joliet on friday. I’m a little disappointed with my trap speeds. First two slips were using Launch assist which resulted in bogging, best run was launching at ~4k rpm.
-2004 Audi S4 6MT
-Full weight minus the spare.
-Jhm 93 tune, Trexturk Downpipes & FI non res catback, JHM IM spacers, stern mounts.
-50/50 mix of 93 & 100 octane
-1350 DA, 15MPH headwind.

There’s also Jason at foreign auto here in kitchener he’s also a great guy. Had him do a heater core and thermostat on my b6 A4. Fuckin thing decided to spontaneously combust the other day on the 401. Ins says total loss.
^^ your car sounds awesome.
I think your traps are bang on. those srt8 cars are dog shit I have a buddy with a srt8 challenger and the best we’ve got that thing to run is a 13.70 and on a road course its an absolute POS. hemi my ass lol.
so when u use the launch control u bog?? are u sure your traction control was off?
Clochner, thank you :). I was ahead of the SRT8 charger until the 1/8th mile, he pulled me top end and trapped 103. The 13.80 I left traction control on on accident, the 2nd and 3rd runs it was off. It didn’t even matter the car wasn’t going to spin, very sticky track. And I was hoping I’d at least beat my non-tuned trap of 101.8… lol. Maybe it was the headwind, but the DA was over 1,000 ft less than the last time I raced.
were your ets better than non tuned?
hey sak, u gonna add me to the database?
13.77 was my best ET without the tune.

Is the database being maintained or not?
It takes the old boy a little while to update it. The track website is good http://www.shakespearecountyraceway.com/ and it is MSA certified. However to quote post #1:
non-certified dragstrips will also not be added. Basically only results from a proper dragstrip with standardized/certified timing systems will be included.
I always thought that meant IHRA/NHRA certified. It seems the MSA is a new regulatory body in the UK with regards to the drag racing world. I got this from the Santa Pod website: http://www.santapod.co.uk/dr_msa.php
In 2007, UK drag racing entered a new era when the Motor Sports Association, the national governing body of four-wheeled motorsport, designated the spectacular Pro Modifieds as the official class of the MSA British Drag Racing Championship.
The MSA is in turn a member of the FIA. From http://www.msauk.org/custom/asp/home/default.asp :
The Motor Sports Association (MSA) is recognised as the sole motor sport governing body for the United Kingdom by the world governing body, the Federation Internationale de L’Automobile (FIA).
The IHRA no longer seems to list anywhere in Europe: http://www.ihra.com/ihra-tracks/tracks . IIRC I think that Santa Pod was at one point IHRA certified. The NHRA is North America only.
Santa Pod seems to be the only location for the UK MSA drag racing championships at present: http://www.msadragracing.co.uk/rounds.php
The summary of my rambling is that I thought Shakespeare wasn’t a certified dragstrip but it seems to be under the auspices (indirectly) of the FIA, rather than NHRA or IHRA and that the MSA seems to be equivalent in the UK. I guess it didn’t make sense for Santa Pod’s regulatory body being 5 time zones away…
